Sefo health update

Don't mind @Darth Snow . He's calling for Apsay to start on Saturday. ;)
HCMM is the sneakiest of the sneaky. Oregon won't stand a chance! Apsay may have tweeted out he had quit football, and was glad to do it, but goddamit, that's just how much HCMM cares about being sneaky! NO detail is too small to be ignored. As we speak, Apsay is headed to Eugene in a rail car on the backs of some grass fed free range cattle heading to slaughter. He will sneak out when they get to the butcher, studying the playbook using the emergency lighting of one of their chemical showers. The screams of the dying cattle shall be the soundtrack by which he studies how to destroy the souls of the Oregon faithful.

As for the depth chart thing, I think it's weird. hell, the depth chart at NT is STILL not updated. Yet for some reason they went through the trouble of (a) putting Montez in #1 and saying Sefo is injured, and then (b) saying Sefo was able to practice in full pads today?

That's weird. I'm suspicious.

I guess Harbaugh was right. Depth charts are pointless.

Please explain why Montez #1 on depth chart in your "sneaky" theory.

Years ago, probably before you were born (I kid), we played Texas for the BigXII title game. In that game Texas started the blond haired wonder boy that was the especialista of the el especial. At some point Mac Brown figured out that wonder boy was part of the problem and subed in Major Applewhite who quickly brought the game to within reach. Fortunately they ran out of time and we won. We didnt have a good answer for him.

Applewhite was really probably the better QB of the two but Brown had a trophy case of recruiting national champtionships he had to keep stocked and selling out one player for another to get an LOI seemed to work.

So, in theory Montez could be a different QB to prepare for then the Running Sefo. All things being equal. Which they are not with Sefo being gimpy in the ankle and probably not going to be as mobile. Ducks are gonna Duck.

Ok. So Miami and Darth are in full agreement, except one thinks Montez starts and the other Sefo.

;)

I suspect with Montez or Sefo we will have a slightly more limited play book for different reasons. Both will face a defense thats in the bottom third of FBS programs and struggled against lower division program. Dont do anything dumb and let the #10 defense in the country help you win the game.

Applewhite scared the hell out of me in that game. He was a capable & smart college QB, and contributes to Herman's success now.

We need to bury this thread at the bottom. Everytime I log in and see it, I'm scared to click. That's all I have to say on the matter.

My gut tells me Sefo plays.

I trust your gut.

So what's the over/under on how many times the ducks defense goes after Sefo's ankle if he plays? I'm meaning actually tackling him around the ankles at all costs even if they have a free shot on him.

I'll say this. I damn sure hope this is a topic in the OL meetings. It's their job to keep Sefo clean on Saturday and they better be very dialed in on that responsibility. On that note, I think Lindsay will play even more than usual. That dude will go off if someone goes cheap at Sefo's ankle.

Edit: P.S. If you watch the clip of Peppers running into Sefo on the sideline while he was getting treatment, coaches and other players were getting out of Peppers' way or making a half-hearted attempt to stop him from hitting Sefo. Lindsay, though, comes in from off screen with the wild eyes looking like he was ready to kill the mother****er.

Almost took on Wormley when he got that low late hit on Sefo in the 3rd. Sefo had to tell him to back off.
