Shannon stopped by the Buff Clubroom before the game tonight and had a surprise waiting for him. Some Buff Club members got a bunch of us together and gave us t-shirts to be part of the Shannon Sharpe fan club (Shannon's Shapreshooters). We all had our shirts on and surprised him tonight. He seemed pretty happy. There was also a banner made up that some of the fans were holding up during the game.
Shannon talked for a little bit, too. His rehab is going great. He's off the crutches!!! And the doctors say he'll be able to start running in 2 weeks. He was joking that he hit 4 straight 3-pointers today and told coach he was ready.
Also, the main guy who organized this is the Rivals member who goes by JerryCOBuffs. He's a really nice older guy and a great Buffs fan. When he saw that I was talking basketball, he emailed me to try to get me more involved and then gave me a CU basketball hat at a game earlier this year. Very cool guy and great Buff.
