As long as they keep telling UT to GFThemselves. I'm cool.
No. screw everyone in the Big XII.
I am thinking the sec model is smart:
1- cupcakes mid season
2 - protect your best teams from having to play a me at grinder schedule
I wouldn´t have agreed with it, but it´d have been the smart thing to do.
May have selected with my heart, but Oklahoma and pacific stuff just doesn't work. Nor do 14 team leagues. (Read: I don't want to have to go to Stillwater)
If this option pops up, I could see why we as a conference would go for it though.
Never liked them before, don't plan on ever changing my mind.
Would OU have scheduled UT OOC in the RRR or would they do what they're doing to aTm and not scheduling a game? Without that game in Dallas, OU would be crippled, imo.
I would assume anyone voting for OU/OSU has never been to stillwater or norman. I am more concerned about maintaining current pac members than adding new members. Population footprint for pac is good as it is. Ou/osu dont add significant revenue potential, but dilute payouts.
Had a good time at Norman when I went. OU has good peeps and I know a lot of OSU alums as well. Wouldn't be a good cultural fit at all, but they'd be a team that would bring a lot of legitimacy to the conference. NU was added to the B1G and NU doesn't have the following that OU has. Not saying they should be added, but it could be worse.
No. We are good with 12 no matter what other conferences do.
I'm still curious as to how the B1G is going to get Maryland out of those ridiculous ACC exit rules.
The CEO of Under Armor (aka their new sugar daddy) just sold $65 million worth of shares last week, do the math. Not that I think they'll end up paying the full $50 million or whatever the ridiculous buyout is now, particularly since Maryland was pretty vehemently opposed to the buyout increase, they're going to fight it.
1. Stay at 12!
2. Play all 11 other conference teams each year. Leaves you with one out of conference game each year so be smart with it.
3. Championship game is played between the two highest ranked teams in the conference according to the BCS poll.
4. Championship game is played at the highest ranked team's home stadium.
5. Buffs must hire Jack Del Rio so we can actually be involved with this conference.
but not with Oklahoma.
That is all
I'd bet that if OU and OSU were already in the P12/14, then those of us with DirecTV would be able to watch the P12/14 network right now
I believe there should be football-only leagues. The non-football sports should be in traditional regional/geographical conferences. I like the idea of a "premier league" set up for football. One league with the top 20 teams. If you're in the top league, you only play other teams in the top 20. Every single one of your games is agaisnt someone else in the top 20. Each year the bottom 5 teams drop out of the "premier league" and the top five from the lower conference move up.
This times infinity.
With the expansion of other leagues, I'll reiterate my opinion that we're not too far off from a 14-game regular football season. That will allow the Pac 12 to play all 11 teams every year and still play 3 OOC games. That's perfect. No need to change anything. The league is perfect the way it is.
Should the Pac 10 have accepted CU and UU?
You mean OU and OSU in addition to CSU, or just one of them with CSU?
Yes we should have, Now we will be behind SEC, BTN, and yes even the B12 when it comes to eyeballs and dollars generated.
There is no one else that we can 'pick up later' That ship sailed when the Big12 signed the GoR.
