Dude, I love you and all, but quit coming back!
But he'd leave one heck of a bruise on your thigh....
Probably knock one of his balls right into his post.
Edit: It would probably be a while before he could consider it an "upright" again.
Players read this board!! You think other recruits are going to want to come here knowing you laugh at their expense?
So it is the posts killing recruiting not the 2-19 on the road or 16-33 after four years or the fact that we have a dead man walking HC.
hes mocking fanatic just because its wrong doesnt mean its not funny
Correct about the mocking. I agree that what Buffnik said was funny, but what's funnier is that fanatic thinks what we say on here determines what our recruits and players do. I know you and him are buddy buddy though, so I look forward to your defense of his idiotic posts.
Rugged is taking no prisoners these days.
Wish I could take Hawkins prisoner.
DISCLAIMER: I have no intentions of actually taking Hawkins prisoner. If this happens I am in no way involved.
Sure ill defend him, because even though it doesn’t determine where a recruit goes, don’t think for a second that MESSAGE BOARDS IN GENERAL aren't contributory in the decision making processes. Parents like ripped van ginkle's (suck it buffnik) dad see this and maybe thinks twice about letting his kid go somewhere or maybe he doesn’t. However what I do know is all this bull****, calling out people on this board for trying to be positive in this cavernous black hole of a message board right now, suddenly makes you a hawk apologist and quite frankly I’ve had enough of it. I’m tired of being negative all the damn time so from now on I’m gonna try to be positive and see how that works. And yes, I know no one gives one **** about what I have to say and I’m just a nuisance. However for the first time since joining this board, I’m seriously considering leaving. All this attacking will get us nowhere and sure we are allowed to vent however when the day where even good news is pushed away by a negative event months ago, that will be my last day. That’s a day I hope to never see but fear is coming…
wow. diff text and all.
i wrote it in word so it would have periods with punctuation check
I didn't call him a sunshine pumper. I haven't called anyone that. I thought we were going to win 10 games this year. I thought we were going to have our best season since 2001. I thought this would be the beginning of a great thing for CU for years to come.
However, it all got ****ed up. As for attacking posters, it has always happened. Everyone gets made fun of. Everyone gets **** for things they say or do. It is ****ing life. Notice you saying "suck it buffnik" in your own post. Should he leave because you attacked him?
And no, you are wrong. Message boards in general do not contribute to the decision making process for a recruit. It they do, then that recruit needs to spend less time on the computer and more time in the weight room or on the football field.
I'll leave this place the day we are no longer allowed to make fun of each other.
I think the making fun of each other is getting way out of hand. Suddenly I feel the urge to talk to the rest of the junta about not allowing that anymore... :smile2:
2 points here (1) i never said you called him a sunshine pumper (2) i wasn't singling you out
There is a big difference for destroying someone for being trying to be optimistic in these dark times and making fun of someone. As for your own example i was busting Buffniks chops for saying in the jake van ginkle thread that if anyone calls him ripped van ginkle he would go postal.
i never said it was the recruit i said parents. lets use the most egregious example of family interference Diante Jackson. We lit up his family for not letting him come here. What if another parent just perusing sees it and decides we are all insane(theyd be right) and refuses to let there son or daughter play sports at cu. All im saying is be careful...
i would too rugged.
No one should play football. They might be criticized by their fans. That might hurt their feelings. Their parents might try to protect their sensitive little ears.
That is what we call a "helicopter" parent. They just hover over their kid making sure nothing bad can happen to him. Those kids are probably pussies if they haven't experienced that the real world isn't always a nice place. We don't need pussies on our team. No sympathy there.
Suck it everyone!
Riiiiiiiight. I know your alter-ego. AND your 'secret identity'. Muhahahaha!!!
You talkin' to me, bcs? You talkin' to me?!?!?!?!
Why or why not? A recruit is gathering information from every place it is accessible to him. He "knows" that the coaches at any school are going to paint a pretty picture. He's looking for the pros and the cons. He gets a feeling from the players, good or bad. He reads up on the depth chart to see where he'd fit in -- or how long he might ride the pine. And he might do a search on his own name and stumble on a thread at a place like this one.
All of those factors figure into the decision.
For Pete's sake, I'm not saying you must pump lemonaide flavored sunshine day in and day out, but be aware that what you write in the heat of the moment can be read by people deciding where to spend their next few years. Criticism of the program is one thing, dwelling in the sewer and belittling your own school (we'll lose EVERY game next year, no good recruit would come here, he'd be better off at ____ U...) might be a bit much.
This is the wikipedia generation. How are the recruits to know that a board like this has no more inside information than ... anyone else? We sure talk like we know what is going on, even when it's just emotions, and hunches and hearsay.
