Tad Boyle is the Greatest Coach in CU Men’s Basketball History

A first round P12 Tourney loss or first round NCAA loss is still a disappointing season for this roster with what is shaping up to be 3 first round NBA players

I pray we just flat out ball and go to the Sweet 16

Tad can stay, if he wins, but calling the season a full success due to regular season record is setting low expectations to create an attaboy for Tad. The Pac12 mens league is the worst it has ever been.

These mother****ers are about to shoot lights out.

This team isn’t just sweet.

This team is Elite.

This team can do that. Especially if the bounces keep coming our way. Baddddd weekend for the other bubblers. New Mexico, Providence, Iowa (if they even were on the bubble)......

Last night we were grabbing a post game drink at Juniper’s in the Park MGM. Sitting at the end of the bar with a roped off section right behind us.

In walks Tad Boyle glad handing boosters and we became beneficiaries by proxy getting to shake his hand.

I may not wash it ever again.

PS - just gave Juvon Ruffin a SKO Buffs as we made our way through the casino. Time for him to get his game face on.

coach boyle is the best we have ever had and better than we deserved for decades.

but i am just a caveman ex-lawyer football fan...

i would love to see a few wins in the tourney now. i'll probably fill out one card with CU winning it all. wtf, give hope a chance.

You have to, or you’ll look like a fool when they win it and your bracket is busted.

Looking at Tad's record, it is particularly impressive that he has gotten teams to the tourney over multiple eras. We had the 2012-16 run, followed by a few down years. But the team gradually improved from there, making the tourney and winning a game in 2021. After we lost McKinley Wright and Evan Battey, the team dropped off a bit again. But now we are back in the tourney once again with an almost entirely new squad from the last time.

Considering the history of CU basketball, it would have been easy for 2012-16 to be a flash in the pan, and for the program to fall back into irrelevance after that. Tad deserves major credit for consistently retooling his program and keeping them competitive for more than a decade.

Tad has now made the tournament 3 of the last 5 years. Honestly 2016 - 2019 were rough, but if I am being honest 3 tournaments out of 5 years matches my highest expectations for this program.

*Colorado was projected around an 8/9 in 2020 which was cancelled due to covid

Was just thinking back about how insane the scoring would have been in 2010-11 if Tad had the current 5-out offense that season. That team had shooters and a few dudes who could get to the rim off the bounce who would have been playing with all that spacing.

Primary 7 players:

Cory Higgins
Alec Burks
Levi Knudson (very short list of 50/40/90 seasons in CBB history - .546/.474/.904)
Marcus Relphorde
Andre Roberson
Austin Dufault
Nate Tomlinson
