Best wishes to the young man, whatever endeavor he's pursuing this semester. I hope to see him in the Black and Gold next fall.

For all we know, he might be doing a study abroad or taking time off to focus on a class that's required for his major that he can't afford to give less than 100% effort. Health issue, as Snow said. He has left and is planning to return for summer school.
