What would you call for your first play? I'd just love to see a play action to HC and Cody drops back and hits a deep one. After that, start pounding the ball and mix in play action passes. I'm just waiting for this offense to explode!

I do think we need to control the clock in this game. I'm sure we all do. But for that first play, go deep, baby!

power-I-- run right at the middle of their defense behind the fullback.

bring the pain inside and make them tired. wear them down. 5300 feet you mizzery people!

1 yd. run up the middle :p

no, I agree....play action, roll out, something...and stretch the field. If CU scores in the first possession, Folsom will be wild.

End around to Williams, then when he nears the sideline Williams throws backwards to Hawkins, Hawkins catches the lateral, then fakes like he fumbles the ball, then runs back into the middle of the field, hands the ball off to Charles, who dives into the line then flea flickers back to Hawkins, who then throws a 5 yard out to Josh Smith. Hopefully JFly will be able to break a tackle and pick up the first after that.

If the Tiger defense isn't back on their heels after that one, we might as well close up shop right then and there.

I get so irritated seeing a great running game pissed away by long incomplete passes. I'd love to see 3 yards and a cloud of dust all day long. Eventually those passes open up for the big gainer. Take that end-around and put it away...it is a sure loss of two yards (or a fumble) with two linebackers taking down a wide out. It takes the O-line out of the play as well. I would rather see a WR screen to get them out in the open.

My call is HC off tackle with a great block from one of the tight ends for 6 yards.

Uh...Dominator, thats a special teams play. Perhaps this confusion is the cause of your recent poor FFB form?

I agree with MBB, keep the fullback in the game and quit the damned running back rotation. Let Hugh get into a groove and pound the ball.

"What would you call for your first play?"

And reading comprehension might be yours. please highlight in the above sentence where he specifies offense. :smile2:

Not sure what you mean by poor performance either? TOTAL DOMINATION has and will continue to DOMINATE the ALLBUFFS FFB.

The roster is stacked and ready for it's playoff run. Exactly as planned.

Deep pass to Josh Smith for a TD and have the whole damn sideline run down and dance with Josh Smith in the endzone and get Folsom Field FIRED UP..

We need to pull a Richt like move to get this crowd pumping..

Actually, I'm just joking around.. Well, except for the deep pass to Josh Smith for a TD..

You saw Green Bay go right after Champ to see how healthy he was right away. I think the play action to Hugh and then test out J-Fly against whoever took over for Pig Brown. Just hammer them right away; a long TD for the first play will rock Mizzou quite a bit I would think.

I would run something similar to the play that got Calhoun singled on Bobby Walker from Kansas St a few years back but use Hugh or Lockridge. Pig was a safety Id put his backup to the test from the beginning.

    Go Buffs!!

Personally, I think the first offensive play of the day will come when some lout from Columbia heaves a haymaker at his girlfriend, then threatens an onlooking bystander by using a racial epithet that doesn't fit with the man's outward appearance.

    BaaaaaZING!
