Tennessee or Florida will drop out after this week.

Wouldn't surprise me if USF lost to Illinois. They've been shaky and the Illini aren't horrible.

Even a shot of TCU losing to SMU. Rivalry game and Morris is a damn good coach.

We are going to need some help next week to be ranked going in to the UW game.

Am I the only one who thinks that SDSU has a shot to take out Stanford? That's a pretty good G5, and its a roadie for the Trees.

I don't think SDSU will be able to do anything on offense. Stanford's really good this year. Don't discount them for running into a fired up elite team on the road last week.

A selection of point spreads:

UCLA -3 at Memphis
K-State -3 at Vandy
Stanford -10 at SDSU
USF -17 at Illinois
Wazzu -19 vs Oregon St
South Carolina -7 vs Kentucky
TCU -18.5 vs SMU

Only need a few of those favorites to lose in order to move up into the top 25.

whoregon will be in the top 25 before us. They beat a wyoming team this weekend and they will be in. Nobody even knows who unc is.

Edit - unless this falls midweek and I'm having a blowout year, it isn't going to matter anyway based on the kids weekend winter sports activities.
I get the sentiment that Alfred is hinting at. Georgia Tech or SDSU? Obviously GT is a more intriguing game. However, if we play in the Sun Bowl, I am watching from the couch. If we play in Vegas, I may end up going. Nothing about travelling to El Paso sounds pleasant to me.

That was my point. GT is a matchup I'm interested in seeing. I have no interest in another MWC school.

I also have to admit, although I also have no interest in going to El Paso, my wife and I are also those odd people who don't really enjoy Vegas either. Not that we're against fun, just not into Vegas style fun.

Bet the Montez family would be interested in CU in the Sun Bowl though!

Fornelli 50 is one of my favorites. He goes solely by what he's seen teams do on the field this season so, as he puts it, Clemson started even with Texas State for 2017. https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...l-rankings-a-team-other-than-alabama-is-no-1/

COLORADO
Colorado (2-0): I had some serious concerns about Colorado with everything it lost after last year, but it's off to a promising start.
20
WASHINGTON
Washington (2-0): The defending Pac-12 champs had an easy time with Montana this week.

the only ranking I know of that doesn't take into account anything but on field performance. Fun to keep an eye on. For comparison, this is the second year in a row that it looks like the Buffs are breaking the ratings that rely on expectations, returning starters, recruiting, etc. See the FEI results:

The Fremeau Efficiency Index (FEI) is a college football rating system based on opponent-adjusted drive efficiency in FBS games. Preseason projected ratings are a function of five-year program ratings, recent recruiting success, and returning offensive and defensive experience, and account for 71 percent of this week's ratings. Strength of Schedule (SOS) ratings are a function of the projected FEI ratings of a given team's schedule of opponents and the location (home/away/neutral) of each game, representing the average number of losses an elite team (two standard deviations better than average) would have against the schedule.
