Good article in the Post this morning about the state of CU football. It discusses everything from academics to facilities. While everyone admits our facilities have gotten passed by most of the Big XII, most agree that our facilities aren't that horrible. Our academic standards, on the other hand, are a big obsticle. Under Mac, we had the "CU Opportunity Program" and Mac was allowed to bring in questionable kids if he could make a case for them. Mac also had good success in getting those kids to graduate.
Is there any chance that the CU administration will loosen up its standards? While they do make it tough, it still should be possible to be sucsessful despite them. As for facilities, I don't see anything happening in the short term except for the basketball/volleyball center. I've dreamed of a new field house for years but just don't see it happening anytime soon.
