I HOPE this is good news for Utah!
Perhaps they will get beaten on at first (much as we will), but being in the SEC will give them a distinct edge over UT with a greater number of highly rated instate recruits
I'm not sure if it will give them any edge over UT, but it certainly helps. jmo.
According to that effing bigmouth at Orangebloods, UT has vowed not to schedule them if they do this, apparently as some sort of punitive bull****. It would be great if OU was to follow suit and send UT to the PAC10 rivaless.
You know what, good for a&m. F' Texas. This is their chance to strike out on their own and reach the potential they never did in the big 12 being UT's underling. I wouldn't be surprise if UT and a&m split and a&M becomes a better program for it. I doubt it happens under Sherman as he's clueless but somebody else will lead them to very good things.
Here's to hopeing OU sacks up too.
OU won't sack up. The Pac brings big money plus keeps the UT and OSU series. Sure, OU would rather be in the SEC, but losing the UT game would probably burn this state to the ground.
And A&M in the SEC opens up recruiting to SEC West teams, which will hurt A&M, UT, OU and OSU.
I don't know about that. Look at Chip Brown's twitter on some of the bs concessions UT is demanding, and perhaps they will have enough too. http://twitter.com/fakeChipBrownOB
I can't see OU parting ways with UT.
As with our move to the Pac, I'm certain this is not a move for A&M to be more competitive on the field - at least in the short term. It's a move to divorce themselves from the yoke of UT's domination and to make a boatload more money in a conference they feel more comfortable in.
It's a great move for the aggies, if you ask me. This is good news.
That'll do Collie...that'll do.
Very good point.
And, Colorado still gets to take Texas to the 12PAC! Hookem!
I'll take UT for a rival. Stop Pac expansion at two teams. Look what it did for Oklahoma.
it will still be pac-16
Yep. The Pacifico Dieciseis.
if this story is legit, why has no other outlet picked up on it?
It seems tonight soonerland is more resigned to the academic side of the PACX
It all depends on UT. If they move to the Pac10, then OU, TTU, and OSU will follow. I'm still not sure about A&M. I think Sacky is probably correct though. Looks like they may leave UT in the dust.
