We'll keep this updated as there are commitments, attrition, or changes to eligibility status (i.e., if Harlos were to be given a redshirt exception for the 2011 season and be a frosh in 2012).

I don't think I've ever seen a senior class that light on numbers or projected starters.

Also, Embree said that his plan is to sign 28 (with 3 early enrollees). That means that there's at least one scholarship player from this list who won't be coming back in 2012.

Could also mean he plans that at least 1 of the kids he signs doesn't make it through admissions like last recruiting cylcle.

Nope. I thought that too, but he said in the presser today that he's not a fan of over-signing. If he offers someone a scholarship, he thinks it's wrong if he doesn't have a spot for him.

So does Harlos stay at S? Seemed like there was some concern about his speed. Also, Any word on Clark? He certainly has the measurables. Does he have the speed to help us upgrade the backfield?

I believe that Harlos stays at Safety. Tu'umalo played some S this year, but I think he needs to bulk up to OLB.

Clark redshirted at S and Embree specifically mentioned him in one late season interview to say that he's coming along well.

Is Paul Vigo coming back next year? I thought I heard somewhere a few weeks ago that he wasn't. Sorry I can't be more specific with where I heard it.

The only players announced as not coming back are Deji and Nobriga.

FB is a big part of the game plan here. I don't know much about Plimpton, but I have to believe there will be another FB option other than Norgard. Maybe a TE like Fernandez, Wood or Allen makes the change this spring? Or have a Guard playing FB on short yardage plays.

Shouldn't Jermaine Clark be moved --> Linebacker?

Damn we have a few wasted schollies out there. It wouldn't be the worst thing if B. Burnette suddenly announced he was quitting the team to sell insurance with Nick Nelson.

The unknown variable is the greyshirt possibility. We lost 2 guys with ACL injuries during their senior season.

Also, sometimes lineman are willing to grayshirt if they know they need to gain weight for the position they were recruited for.

Burnette will be gone after next season regardless. He does nothing to really help the numbers either way. The real question becomes which guys who will be juniors next season decide to hang it up this spring.

Updated to remove Paulay Asiata, Austin Vincent and Makiri Pugh.

We hardly knew ya.

Disapointing to see Asiata leave the program. I expect atleast 3-4 more players to transfer out after the spring game.

There are reports of other guys struggling in the classroom and there are guys that may forgo there 5th year.

Reports? Don't tell me you subscribe to buffscoop's premise that rumormongering is journalism. Say it for what it is: hearsay and speculation.

Embo said there will be 18 scholarships available next year.

Link?

If that's accurate, we're looking at a bunch of guys known to be leaving. If you look at the numbers above, we lose 9 seniors and carry over 2 or 3 (if we don't accept any transfers). And that's with Vincent removed from the roster despite the fact he's expected back this summer.
