I like him as a prospect. The basketball experience you mention shows some athleticism and I would really like for Tui to work his Arizona connections here. Several good players come out of the Chandler area every year.

Showing some athleticism on the basketball court:

Gifted athlete for sure, but he's going to need a lot of refinement and possibly some reprogramming mentally if he's going to play end at a collegiate level. He plays really upright, which isn't a huge issue in and of itself, but it doesn't look to me like he really likes to hit very much either. Unless he was catching someone at an advantageous angle (running in laterally on someone who's running upfield) it seemed that every one of his tackles in that video came as a result of him grabbing the players jersey or shoulderpads and spinning them around in circles until they went down. That kind of stuff doesn't work when you're playing against people that are your own size or bigger.

Between him and Tupou, probably the two most physically imposing kids we're in on this year, and I don't mean that to slight Solis/Henington. These guys would add a tremendous amount to the front seven with their physically and athleticism for their size. Big time wants.

Watched him during the game today, he looked very cold and very unimpressed. I hope I read him wrong. But at least he saw us play a great game.

His offer list isn't representative of his stars. What gives?

He raw.

If he doesn't like the cold then he's probably not going to love Purdue, Michigan State, or Oklahoma State much. Hopefully he visits those places and it's even colder than it was in Boulder.

I want tough guys. Football is a tough game. I bet he's a tough guy. We shall see.

If he has any hopes of playing in the NFL, he better get used to a little cold weather. Plus, he could do a lot worse, weather wise, than Boulder.

Moved up a bit in all the rankings (with 247s going from unranked to the #33 weakside DE). Also, found a reported 40 time (4.5 seconds).
