Nate tomlinson

He deserved his benching tonight. God, what a terrible performance.

...and yet produces so little.

I have no problem giving leeway to the frosh and 'Dre - but Tomlinson has been god****ing awful his whole 4 years here.

He gives us so much....

are you serious? I can't believe you are saying this, it has to be a joke. I'm going to go yell at my dog so I don't go off on you. Nate is the bounce to our ball, he is the frosting on our cake, the kid is the corn in our ****.

nate

ya nate had a real s hitty game tonight. Does anyone else realize that we cant run an offense when hes not on the floor tho. No one know what the hell to do and Carlon either throws up a 3, or Ski drives and puts up a runner its amazing

The only positive I took out of last night is that Spencer took over as our PG. Hopefully that doesn't change in the next 10 days or there wasn't a positive from last night.

The 5 guys I would give the bulk of the minutes to:

1- Spencer
2- Ski
3- Adams
4- Dre
5- Cain

Cain was a highlight last night. The only basket he gave up was a fadeaway jumper. I loved when he ran the court for the layup.

Who has been more hated? Relphorde or Tomlinson? I'm gonna go with Relphorde

i always kinda liked Marcus despite his total screw-up tendencies....he was fearless, that guy. dumbest turnover of all time last possession, colossal mental mistake....no biggie. I'll take the 3 next time down the floor (and he made it sometimes).

I liked Marcus too. However, it always felt like I was in an abusive relationship. Over and over, he'd put me through hell, I'd be angry, I'd be upset, I'd be ready to give up on him, and then he'd do something amazing that would get me back on board believing that from that point on thing were going to be great. It was an unhealthy cycle.

I don't hate Tomlinson or even dislike him. I think he is a kid who works hard and does the best he can with limited talent.

That said he should in no way be our starting pointguard and be our guy in control when a game is on the line. He is just to limited in his ability and when the defense steps up he gets dominated. I would be perfectly fine with him being a key backup, a change of pace guy who can come in giving the starter a breather and settle things down a little when things are getting out of control. Let him play against opponents back-up guys and when we have missmatches on the floor that he can help utilize. Just don't put the game in his hands when the pressure is on and we have more talented guys who can do the job better.

I don't think he should see the court again until he can get his temper in check and be a senior leader.

I can't disagree. Tad needs to sit him down and coach him to realize that he has a part of this team and that part may not be what he dreamed it would be but if he chooses to accept it he can have a great experience, if not we will move on without him.

I think he will end up handling it well in the end.

He was awful last night... no way around it. I can admit when someone I defend plays like sh*t, and he did. All I ask is that people give him his praise when he DOES play well... it's a two day street.

That said, he was pathetic last night, no energy, bad tempo, bad body language, temper issues... not acceptable.

if i'm a sr or jr on this team, what i've seen is Tad is playing the best guys....."senior leadership" may be something you earn more than an expectation.

this is the sucky part. I really keyed in on watching Nate last night because of stuff that you posted (since I have no clue where you are coming from) and then he goes on to have what will probably be his worst game in a CU uniform. I really want to see what you see in Nate.

i agree that this 5 should get the time between now and when the next class gets into school. Nate should only provide breaks for the Spencer at this point. Let him run the point and and move on.

you may be onto something there...but adams? really....he's shooting around 20%...and his shot selection was wildly erratic, some great some waaaay less than great...

The best lineup would be Dinwiddie, Booker, Brown, Roberson and Cain. Dufault, Tomlinson and Adams off the bench and no one else should play but those 8 unless serious foul trouble or injury

You know last year we were all praising Tad for being a great coach, and this year I am sensing some dissent already, which is completely understandable given how they have been playing, however last year we were a very very good team. Two NBA talents and a solid supporting cast behind them. This year we have I would argue two players who would be starting at any big time D1 basketball program. One of them is a freshman, the other a sophomore. We have two role guys who could develop into big time players but they are also both freshman. The upperclassmen on this team just don't cut it at the D1 level. No way around it. SHT should be dominant inside, but I think he is afraid of injuring himself again. NT needs anger management and needs to find his 3pt stroke again.

Blaming Tad based these two losses is irrational.

I blame Tad for every loss. Comes with the territory of having the job.

That said, I think he's a fantastic basketball coach and leader for our program.
