Some student sections we could learn a thing or two from.

I losing the winning team losing team chant. Utah State did it great last year. Utah State's student section is another one we should look up to.

After the first basket of the first game of every season, JBU fans cover the floor in TP:

I'm sorry...this came up last year, but I'm in the minority when it comes to USU...but I give a big NO to trying to look up to them. It's cool that they're enthusiastic about their team, but if I ever see our students singing I'm a Little Teapot, I'm going to flip...oh, oh, apparently they've heard this before, because now they chant, "I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!"...good for you guys. Thumbs up. You are guys are winners. Your mommy and daddy must be so proud.

...

...**** THAT! I do think our fan base could be more organized in our cheers and we could also be classier to opposing fans. However, let's not lose our edge. I have no problem with us creating a hostile atmosphere to play due to the fans' aggression and abrasiveness.

The Ohio chant was cool in my opinion, but that had edge to it. Let's be witty and hard...not all fruity and childish.

I'm not saying we should do the same cheer(s), but they had a number of sections organized and loud for theirs

Back in the old Dennis Collins/C-Unit days the student section had their **** together. Now they can't even figure out what color to wear. The lesson as always: never graduate, stay here as long as you can.

North Carolina A&T will always be the best.

why don't you start by paying attention to the game UBL? you got called out for it a few days ago.

With those buff chips that the c-unit guys pass out, we could coordinate cheers pretty easily I would think.

Our student section really stepped it up against Utah. Despite the game being over break, it looked great on tv. Between people dressing up and the huge cardboard cutout player heads (and some signage, i.e. "Who's your Taddy?"), it looked like a lot of fun and that people were into it. Nice job, students.

Can someone explain why the moved the student section (or at least I think they did) to the opposite side? When I was in college, we were on the same side as the tunnel.

In the second half, the opponents now shoot against a backdrop of the (rowdy) student section.

Wouldn't it be easier to just to have the teams switch tip-off directions? I'm probably missing something here.

Larger section for students.

Also, the area by the locker room can command premium seat prices.

Was definitely a lot of fun I had the Huge Chauncey head. They're were some good chants getting started and everyone was participating, hope that continues when the crowd gets bigger.

It's been a while since I've bee to the foam doam, but the other end of the court is the tunnel and the band, so fan seats are far removed from court side.

When I was a student (back in the days of Billy "easy e" law, Shaun Vandever, Donnie Boyce) we were on the side of the court, directly opposite the home bench. We had zero ability to heckle the othe team when it counted.

For those of you who haven't been to the Keg in a while, here's an easy way to picture it.

It's set up almost exactly like Folsom.

Just like the north end zone where we have Dal Ward, the basketball court on the north end has the tunnel the players come out of. Around that tunnel are premium seats on the court and above that is general admission.

Both teams have their benches along the east side (where the home sideline is for Folsom). The north half of that side is the CU bench and the south half is the visitor bench. Visitor seats are above the visitor bench.

Then, just like the south end zone of Folsom, the south side of the Keg is the student section with the band on the west edge of the section.

I still have a major problem with visitor seating being behind their own bench.

I don't like that either. We should put them in the SW corner next to our band. Let the fine folks with season tickets in that area move behind the visitor bench.

I would take those seats in a heartbeat.

All the more reason to put CU fans there.

Considering where CSU stuck Buff fans, I'm pissed off at the seats we give to visitors to the Keg.

We were stuck up in a corner and had to squeeze through the Rams' student section to get there.
