'12 NJ CB Yuri Wright (Signed to Colorado)

Was there a reason why yuri commited to cu today and didn't wait until signing day? I know some said he chose cu because we stuck with him...

Oh it's real close for me but if you read the csu trash toward cu......

Maybe their trash would push me to that conclusion....but, I would rather watch the biggest ****ing loser (or whatever it is called) on TV than seek out a CSU site.

Easy to see that both guys are good enough athletes to play both sides but with Yuri and Crawley how does Brown play them. Does one focus on being the left CB and the other the right CB or do they both play both sides flipping with the formation or based on the recievers they are facing.

It's going to be fun for us to watch how the do this, it's not going to be fun for opposing QBs who have to try to throw against them, especially with a much better pass rush threatening to plant them like a seed while they are trying to figure out who might be open to throw to.

Word is that G the producer from milehighsports.com who writes an article every wed. Is gonna be about yuri wright and twitter gate...check it out tomorrow morning. Bottom of the page under "g-spot". I hope someone from don Bosco reads it. I'm really happy to have yuri on board!!!

Great news coming in this week!! We may be young on D next year, but at least there will be no more WRs and RBs making mid-week position switches to DB. Welcome, Yuri!!

Apologies if this has already been asked - is he going to qualify?

I dont remember where I heard this, it could have been somewhere deep in this thread but anyway, his ACT, Core Classes, and GPA all qualify. He just needs to complete a few more HS credits, lucky for him and for us, this expulsion doesn't look like it will hurt him to much.

I actually heard Mike Evans compliment CU for Yuri. He and Joel were all for taking him.

Never been an Evans fan, but that's cool to hear. There's been so much attention on it nationwide that I'm hoping Yuri comes in with a goal of proving them wrong, and shuts them up quickly and completely!

I refuse to listen to Mike Evans anymore, but he is a bandwagon guy. Joel probably told him the story and to support Yuri, so Evans went along. If Evans was paired with someone else who didn't like Yuri it would be a different story.

I love Ted Miller, great blogger for us at ESPN finally.

His dialogue between Embree and Wright is probably spot on.

Can't wait to see yuri at CU, he is gonna be a good one.

Adam M. was on the radio this morning. He was disgussing Yuri. He said that all the recruiting guys he spoke with that were at the Army All Star game said Yuri is quiet, almost shy and very polite. In other words, the kid sounds like the polar opposite of his infamous tweets.

I see what you did there.

Except he repeated the nonsense as "racially tinged." Identifying someone as Jewish is not a racial slur or in any way negatively "tinged."

For some reason I keep thinking of The Office episode where Michael asks Oscar if there is a less offensive term than Mexican...

An Auburn friend of mine was giving me crap about Yuri on FB. He suggested maybe CU needs to get back to recruiting thugs again to be good. I reminded him that Auburn won the Fulmer cup in dramatic fashion and haven't heard from him since. Will send him the MHS article too.
