I fully admit to not having watched a whole lot of CU games this year...so I suck...

but from tonight...I don't think we learned a thing. They played okay, not great. AZ needs to pick it up. There's way too much talent on that team to be playing the **** that they do. They should be ashamed to be wearing their uniforms...they're ****ing garbage compared to what they should be. It's interesting...at Xavier, Miller had less talented kids but with some coachability and willingness to help build the program. At AZ...he is working with something different.

Tad boyle is a good coach with mediocre talent. We really missed a Cain type layer tonight. The talent differential down low was disgusting

We're not quite there, but I'm not ready to ****ing surrender this just yet, especially with UW about to take their 3rd loss

Buffs can't shoot on the road. Remember why we beat KSU in the octagon last year? Levi went off.

We've got nothing in the paint and don't box out for ****.

We need a juco center.

Look how much more mature we are than the Oregon boards. Not a single person blaming the refs!

Probably had something to do with the fact that the refs in this game were much better... can honestly say I had no issues with the officiating tonight. Certainly didn't impact the game one way or the other.

My issue was not with the way it was officiated. It was more a matter of frustration that we don't get that type of consistency every game from the refs. Wheel should be tilted to the home team like it was tonight. I don't feel like we always get that at the Keg.

The fact that teams are targeting Tunks and Dufault down low as a weakness is frustrating.

I agree. But mostly because we don't have an answer for it. We can't even double the post because the other team is getting such deep position.

Anyone know Ski and Carlon Brown's home vs. away splits. I imagine they are worse than the days of Blake Street Bombers and the pre-humidor days at Coors.

We just don't seem to be able to make shots. Had a bunch of open looks and just couldn't seem to hit them. And once things started going downhill (UA's run in the 2nd half after we had tied it up), it looked like we gave up playing D and started to rush shots on O. This team needs to learn to fight through adversity on the road and find a way to win (which for some reason sounds familiar :bang: ).

Learned that this team still has to battle the realities they were up against at the beginning of the season. They are replacing their scorers, are playing lots of young minutes, and still have much to learn about playing tough on the road. It also seems that they are easily shaken from playing the game that is favorable to the situation. I would have thought that playing against a short rotation would have favored more penetration attempts and initiating contact to draw fouls. Instead they got in a three contest with a much more consistent team from outside the arc.

Oh well, the outcome was expected - while a closer final would have been nice. Pick up the next two and the team will be back to exceeding expectations.

Up until midway through the 2nd Half...I thought we were gonna win...then the wheels came off

Chen and Tunks have no business being in a Division I major conference rotation. They are mid-major subs at best. That hurts the team.

I wish Adams would step up and start playing better, we could get by with him and Ski as the major guys off the bench, but he just isn't getting it done. That concussion really set him back.

Scott, X Johnson and Gordon better get ready, cuz there is a crap load of minutes for them to take next season, when we start to see the Buffs really take off!

That no matter how many minutes SHT plays, he is incapable of getting even one rebound. He has done this in multiple games lately.

Considering that we have at least one win in the books because of Chen and the energy he brings off the bench I am going to have to disagree with you there. As for Adams what have you seen that leads you to say the concussion set him back? He hasn't seemed to have it at all this year, and most of the stats point to that, he just seems slow out there, more of a linebacker than a guard/forward.

Ski had a good road trip through LA, and a rough early season so it might not be as far off as you expect.

I like Chen, but he really shouldn't be or second or third option off the bench. When this team is fully built, that type of player will hopefully be our 10th option.

I learned that we need a center in the worst way, and we need a shooter from deep (a Levi type). I think that we are fixing our center issue next year, but not sure we will still have a shooter.

Also, I learned that Tad Boyle has the Buffs as the most over achieving team in the conference. Arizona has a lot more talent then we do, so does Washington, Ucla, Cal, Oregon and probably Stanford. Yet we are in the mix. I am excited to see what he can do with a full roster or his recruits.

Also, I learned that I am not sure I should watch basketball when we are decent. It used to be easy when we sucked, who cared. But the refs have too much control over the game. There was a section yesterday where they were calling every little touch foul on us and letting them bang on our offensive end. Its not good for my blood pressure.

Fair take on where from the bench he should come, Shannon's knee refusing to heal is certainly hurting our rotation.

Not so much from this particular game, but from watching the season unfold - We're close. We're just a couple players away from being a real contender. I really believe that. I think the guys we have coming in next year have the potential to put us right at the top of the conference and into the NCAA tournament. There's a ton of potential with this team, especially with Tad running the ship.

Nobody really expected to win yesterday, so the loss isn't a killer. A win would have been fabulous, but a loss isn't devastating. Lose at ASU, and that's devastating. I expect us to mudhole ASU.

This game will be much closer than last time, at the Keg they played without their best player who leads the team in points and rebounds. In the span he was out they went 1-5 vs 3-3 with Lockett in conference. Add to that this is on the road and this game will be close.

1. Games are won and lost in the paint and we don't have the bruisers to be an NCAA team this year.
2. Carlon is a phenomenal talent, but right when CU needs him to the most, he isn't there. Unfortunately.

Arizona State is terrible.
