The secret is starting to get out on Babiash. He has the size and athleticism PAC-12 teams are looking for, but also is an absolute ball hawk from the CB spot. He helped lead his team to a 12-0-1 record, including a 3-interception performance in their section championship game to close out the season. Same high school as Ryan Deehan.

He picked up an offer from Nebraska yesterday. Babiash is a prospect to keep an eye on going forward because he has the size and versatility in the secondary our coaches seem to covet.

After landing an offer from Boise State Thursday, Poway (Calif) DB Derek Babiash just landed one from Colorado

Really good player.

Looks like all 3 of the rating agencies that matter agree that he is good. Do we know how he feels about us, or do we have any connection?

Dio is correct about the Poway connection.

Hard to gauge interest right now with Babiash. Not sure he ever saw all of this recruiting attention coming his way.

His recruitment has gone national. Oklahoma jumped into the fray (and possibly the lead) with an offer yesterday.

"So you're sayin' there's a chance!" Sounds like even if he decommitted there is an uphill battle on this one.

It's tough to say with Babiash. I think the interest came in so quick that he was just overwhelmed with the process. It's probably best that he backs off and takes his time at this point. Washington's definitely still in play here, but I think there's an opportunity to get a visit.

It's refreshing to see a PSA be honest with himself and his decisions. Yes, UW is still in play, but Babiash still wants to go through the entire process. Nothing wrong with that, and I find it refreshing and laudable that he's honest with himself and had the courage to tell a HC what he's really thinking.

This kid's stock goes way up in my mind for this decision because it's clearly showing a maturity rarely found in high school athletes.

I want to see him in P&G, but I'll be rooting for him to have success wherever he lands...

I'm guessing his next decision will be final with no games played at the end of January. Great kid, on and off the field...

New to the nuance of Buff recruiting, but I'm guessing Brownie isn't the best recruiter?
The HaLk let Brownie basically not recruit, so that was the rap on him until he closed two four stars last year . Apparently it wasn't a lack of ability, but instead was a lack of effort.

Scout has him down as "no interest" in Colorado..dated info.

Wonder why he de-committed from WU?
Sometimes kids get swept up in the moment of a visit and commit prematurely. It happens. Once he calmed down, he realized he wanted to see other schools.
