Worry about the lack of other offers but having PAC12 size and speed is a start.

Glad to have him.

I like athletes with high SPARQ ratings. With that said looks like a Pac 12 reach and another guy who should have been recruited to San Jose and not CU based on the reported offers and rankings by the 4 services. Any chance he could put on 20 lbs and keep the speed? His photo looks like he is already filled out.

Welcome!

Well, I like the legit 4.4 speed!

:scared2:

Just realized Mac's son wears #7

:scared2:

Please not again football gods!

I am not going to complain about us recruiting athletes with legit sub 4.5 size that are also not scrawny. If Mac likes his football ability I am all in. I know we don't want a whole class full of recruits that no other BCS team wanted but this is a transition class. If during the transition class we can score some athletes like this kid, I think we are on the right track. How many sub 4.5 athletes did Water Bottle et. al bring to Boulder?

I still recall the Colorado 4 A title game a couple of years ago, Parker Orms was unstoppable. Reminds me of Parker Orms, I hope he doesn't have the same durability issues.

Orms came to CU at about 175 lbs. which fit well on his frame, he was a always a rangy type. In contrast, this kid looks like a legit 195 lb.'er. with legit sub-4.5 speed. Think "Danny Woodhouse", only five inches taller and 20 lbs heavier.

I'd say try him at RB first, Buffs don't need another wasted talent at safety, ala Ray Polk.

Playmaker? What world do you live in?

Go **** yourself.

He didn't specify good plays or bad plays, just playmaker.

Actually for the relatively little time Parker has been able to be on the field he has shown a nose for the ball. On the negative side he has fallen into the Hawk/JE culture and had more than his share of negative plays as well including penalties or being overagressive and missing easier plays trying to make a spectacular one.

Orms is a smart kid who plays very hard and has good instincts. His biggest problem is that he is simply to small to take the beating at this level on a regular basis and while fast is not fast enough to make up for his size deficiencies and his overagressiveness. This is why he, like so many others on this team didn't have much interest from other schools in major conferences.

Severson doesn't appear to have much interest from major schools either which is concerning. At the same time he has similar if not better speed than Orms and already has a build that is much stouter and PAC12 ready than Parker has now.

It may also be a big factor that he plays with Coach Mac's son in HS. This should mean that we have a much better gage on his character and intelligence than we would for most recruits. This may also be why he doesn't have other reported offers based on either rejecting the advances of other schools or simply not reporting since his intention all along was to play for HCMM.

Wow, definitely impressed by his measurables. Maybe he blew up this year after Byron Marshall (4* RB to Oregon) graduated

Hard to get down on a kid who showed this well at a camp (SPARQ rating) and we know is at least 5'10". More importantly, HCMM has seen him play probably in person many many times the last 3 years.
