JuCo Football Forer reports a CU offer and a visit this weekend (rivals also reporting visit)

5'10" and 170 lbs as a safety...after a couple years at a JUCO? That said, he doesn't seem to shy away from contact, so that's nice to see.

Like the Wisconsin offer, but I'm guessing their JuCo rules are more lenient than ours. He'd have a much better chance of starting at CU right now!

He is small but is he much smaller than Smith, than Orms. I am scared to death of what it looks like we are going to put out there at safety.

Smith has shown for a couple of years that he is willing to hit but so far his decision making has not been good, doesn't show the instincts you want. Orms has shown good instincts (except for joining in the personal foul club with others last year) but has also been fragile. I like Moten but he hasn't played much at Safety bouncing back and forth from CB. Bell same story, spent most of his time at CB, and on the bench recovering from injury.

If he can come in and provide some stability and decision making along with athleticism he has a good chance to play a lot.

He looks like he'd probably start for us. That's not saying much. But he's better than nothing. Hopefully one of the freshman can step up as well.

Looks like he has good play recognition and reaction. Looks "cut" for 170 and fearless. Could be a good player to help with teaching the incoming frosh as well.

Got to think it will help this summer that the only coach who's allowed contact with players is a former DB/safety.

At safety, Mosley is the wildcard. I hope he's not one of the attrition issues and the light bulb goes on for him in the fall. He's the best athlete with the highest upside at safety.

I sort of forgot Mosley. He has shown flashes of ability. Hopefully he can put it together.

I have big hopes for Mosley but even if he steps up big this year we are still brutally thin at safety. Certainly opportunity for Reynard to play a lot.

He looks oh so small and skinny, but looks pretty fast. We need some depth big time in the defensive backfield so we need to get him.

By fall he should be 6'2 220. Has he been working with bigbang? He could probably get that 40 down to 4.2 or so as well.

Sounds like he really liked the visit. Should know after the Wisconsin visit.

Would really like to win this one.

Yeah. We need this one. I actually think it's the difference in a win or two this year. Our safeties and DB versatility against spreads worries me.

I think it helps that Wisconsin has a new staff so they're starting over a bit. Otherwise, I wouldn't like our chances.

My guess is that we land him. Pac-12 over B1G.

My sentiments exactly, Nik. With a conference that necessitates nickel defense a good portion of the time, the depth at the DB positions is pretty scary.

Also like he has four to play three.

Hopefully he doesn't just give up like Scavenger would like him to. We could really use an infusion of experienced JCs to our roster.

I think that JC guys will be hard to get right now, if they have other good chocies. hard to sell kids that we can turn this ship around in three to four years as it is; to try to tell them we will have it turned around this year, or next year at the latest....that has to be a hard thing to do. Kids coming in want to be featured in a program that will win at least 7 plus games and go to a bowl game. They are not connected to a program, and want to showcase themselves to possibly play in the NFL. So unless we are getting a guy who has no other major offers.....I think seeing a JC guy here this year is unlikely.
