'14 CO C Trenton "Tiny" Noller (Verbal to Navy)

Rivals has an update on him. Up to a 4* on there. This would be a good start towards locking down the borders.

Navy and New Mexico state offered recently. He also got a US Army All-American game invite today

That's kind of surprising considering scouts are down on him in a big way right now.

Big difference between the "scouts" from the web sites and the coaches. Some coaches may be down on him as well but all he needs is for some coaches to believe he is the real deal and he will get his offers.

I don't know who influences the picks for the Army game but this might actually make sense that somebody from a bigger program or two have questions and want to see him against higher caliber competition on a practice field before solidifying an offer or choosing to go a different direction.

The US Army game isn't until January 2014.

Agreed, you don't put crap like this in a recruit's thread without documenting it.

One of the evaluators on Rivals just last week commented that he was out of shape and had serious work to do, or he was going to drop in the rankings quite a bit. Look at his offer list. Not exactly a murderers row going after him.

Noller's still considered a really good prospect for a team looking for a pure center. Speculation is that he will not remain a 4*, whatever that's worth.

Very solid prospect that I expect to do very well in the right system.

It appears that Tiny was NOT named to the squad, he was nominated to be considered for the squad. That's an honor, but not tightly tied to his actual potential as a CFB player. Several hundred kids are nominated.

Post a link or delete it.

Not exactly backing up your claim, are you?

You could just go look at what the two posters right before you said, or you could go ask for the informed opinion of all the coaches who aren't offering him. The kid has work ethic issues and has ballooned to 330+ lbs. He's got a ton to prove on the summer circuit, or he's dropping.

I don't know whether your comments are more irritating or nauseating. Maybe it's a tie. Kindly shut the **** up for the most part.

I mean he is just reporting what was said in a Rivals thread from one of their analysts. Now is it inappropriate for a recruits thread? Maybe...

Actually, he extrapolated "one Rivals poster" to "many scouts" in his original post.

Let's end this NOW.

This thread's about Noller, not about your argument.

Even if his rating drops, he still will be rated higher then the linemen the Buffs signed last year.

Highest rated OL in the 2013 class per Rivals was Colin Sutton (3* - 5.6). I would expect that Noller would end up a 5.6 or 5.7 on Rivals when all is said and done.

Colin Sutton never received another offer other than CU. I know the great Maximum loves the incoming class of O-linemen, but pretty much no other BCS schools agreed.

Nevermind that he committed very early in the process and likely didn't market himself after he committed...

Can we please stop using these excuses?

I guess I don't see the issue. It doesn't take away that he has one official offer I realize that. Is it guaranteed he got more BCS offers? Not at all but I do see there as being a strong possibility that he would have had he committed late. My biggest issue is that buffaholic didn't have the whole story.

Bottom line is that if M2 thinks he can play I want him here.

His athleticism, skill, and development potential are best judged by the coaches, until proven wrong I will trust them on these issues.

He seems like a nice kid. Everything else being equal if a Colorado kid can do the job it is better for us to have local kids on the roster and the field. This doesn't mean take kids just because they are Colorado kids but we need to start establishing CU as the desired destination for the best local players. Tiny can be a part of developing this after Hawk and Embree did such a good job of turning local kids away.

We don't know if M2 thinks he can play. M2 honored all the commitments. Across the board. If he was given a clean slate, we don't know if he would have offered. I happen to value Marshall's opinion, so I'm not too worried about it, but I was just trying to balance out this ratings game.

'Tini: quote from Adam's latest article on some LB in California who committed to SDSU.... "I was actually kind of confused. I thought once you commit to one school, the other schools wouldn't keep trying to recruit you," he admitted. "But that is obviously not the case. It is kind of crazy but I am enjoying it." Kid just got a Colorado offer.

As Duff states. Early commitments have absolutely NO bearing on future offers. It is a tonic we have been using here at Allbuffs. Especially a recent QB recruit.

Yes I fully realize that you can still be recruited even if you commit and commitments have no bearing on future offers, but that's not what I was saying. I'm speaking in terms of Norgard and Sefo, who said they got other offers but never reported them out of respect for the staff and school. Do you not think that it's likely that Sefo got additional offers but chose not to report them to the sites seeing as how committed he was and how early he committed?
