I have to go to a meeting, so anyone who posts solid scouting report info in the next hour gets rep.

On my phone or I'd look it up, but I don't know anything about Branchwest Elite for AAU. Always good to know who is on that team with him and how they did if they played Compton Magic, Pump 'n Run or Oakland Soldiers.

Branch West looks to be run by Bob Gottlieb (Doug's dad) and counts Monte Ellis and James Harden among their alumni. Devin Burleson played with them last summer. www.branchwest.com

Once a heavy UCLA lean, Wright has opened things up with the firing of Ben Howland.

Buffs are not currently on his visit list, but CU is definitely on his radar.

Where do the Buffaloes fit into the picture?

"Colorado and I, we speak a lot. I think they want me a lot," he said. "I like the coaching staff. They're younger so they get along with kids better than some older coaches."

Isn't Wright 2014?

We are in his top nine, but obviously some work to do:

“It seems to be getting more serious recruiting wise now that my Junior season is over,” Wright said. “I’m a senior basically, so it’s picking up. I don’t have a top five right now, but I have a top nine right now. Florida State, Arizona, UCLA, Gonzaga, Oregon, Arizona State, USC, Colorado, and Washington. As for visits, I know I’m visiting Arizona, Arizona State, and Oregon for sure.”

Looks like we're out.

Alex Kline ‏@TheRecruitScoop 3h 2014 SG Namon Wright is down to Arizona State, Florida State, Gonzaga, USC, UCLA, Arizona, Oregon & Washington. He's with Dream Vision (NV).

That surprises me a little bit. Bossi talked to him yesterday, I believe, and CU was one of 5 or 6 teams mentioned.

Oh, and **** Oregon and Washington. We need to beat up on both this year and show these kids who the real contenders are.

Wright seemed to fall pretty hard this summer. It's interesting that Missouri seems to be jumping on a couple of guys who weren't getting the west coast offers in Wright and Sandifer.

And with Heath leaving for Tulsa...

If Mizzou let him out of the LOI, that wouldn't suck at all.

Even if they didn't, I wouldn't complain about a situation like UCLA had with Hamilton.

I think I'd rather get a veteran player who could provide a immediate shooting boost

Unless this kid has a predilection for dumpster fires, it's between us & Oregon.

Would balance out class sizes nicely by being Akyazili's lone man class.

Come on, Namon!
