cool stuff. nowhere near as excited as you guys, but looking forward to seeing the upgrade and optimistic about facility impact on recruiting.

I was at first surprised there's not a more efficient way to remove the rows of aluminum seats. Define efficient as some compromise of time, cost, impact. Assume that considering labor costs, time and cost are tightly correlated. But after another drink and five minutes of thought, this engineer hasn't come up with it. Of course, the times that games have been so bad that I started examining the seat mounting at Folsom haven't gotten that numerous yet, but I guess they're anchored in the concrete.

103 days until college football. or, more relevant to this thread, 120 days until ASU. better stay on schedule!

So this is what engineers think about after they start drinking.
 
had just started drinking, was still in work mode. once we get ripped, we generally start looking for the most visually interesting solutions -- by 11PM I watched the video again and wondered "man, would've been cooler if they placed large explosives under the rows and blew the fucjker up, I mean classes our out -- this idea could've worked". I started designing reinforcements to protect the other sides. not sure what time I passed out but my work is not ready for review.

The Northeast ramp will be clear for the runners to enter the stadium as always. The footbridge will be in the same place, but the runners won't be able to climb the stadium stairs directly to get their lunches on the east side like they have in the past ('cause the stairs will be gone). So once they cross the footbridge, they'll work their way south until they reach stairs going up.

Minor impact.

I absolutely love the addition of the parking garage. That's needed for so many events.
 
600 extra parking spaces for football games? Yes, please. Not that they'll be great tailgating spots, but for folks who want to be nice and close to the stadium, and might want to have the ability to show up 30 minutes prior to kickoff, this would be a great option.

The offset of future parking revenue is a double edged sword, though. The University is going to want that revenue, but I'm certain the AD will want to have the ability to sell parking passes for football games in that lot.

That, and prime parking for people in the club level and luxury boxes. Those folks tend to not do as much tailgating. As long as there's an elevator from the parking garage to the club level, they'll be set.

Would it be a UBL to point out that they're replacing the existing weight room with the club room? The weight room is moving to the new facility.
