Wyoming is selling a "Bandit Bundle" for November 22nd.

Only $45 gets you a ticket to the CU-WYO basketball game and a ticket to the WYO football game against Boise State the same day.

The major conflict from the CU schedule is that the football team is playing at Oregon that day.

I'm torn. If we pulled an upset at Oregon, I'd never forgive myself for not seeing it. But those odds are low, I'll capture it on DVR, and this looks like it would be a hell of a fun day at Wyoming for a great price. Plus, I've never seen a football or basketball game at Wyoming.

Who thinks they might go up to Wyoming for this? If we can get a group together, I'd definitely be in. Having an AllBuffs tailgate would put it over the top.

Condition would be we can leave the wyoming football game early to really prepare for the basketball game. Or to watch the CU football game whenever it does get scheduled.

Hmmmmmm... This actually sounds kind of fun. Much would depend on the weather. November in Laramie can be truly miserable.

Count me in. With the caveat that if it's awful weather, my fat ass isn't getting off the recliner that day.

VERY MUCH IN. Always wanted to see football up there. Already done the basketball thing, but that was back in the Patton era, so...

Who are we supposed to root for in the football game?

I think the basketball game is supposed to be first. Tentatively 4pm hoops and 8pm football (someone on Rivals heard this from a WYO season ticket holder).

So, whether I root for Wyoming or against them in the football game will totally depend on my experience at the basketball game. Modified by whether I end up tailgating football with fans of one team or the other (and whether I like them).

8:00 PM on November 22 in Laramie?

They should switch them around. Football first, in the daylight, when it'll still be somewhat warm (assuming it's not a blizzard), then go indoors for the hoops game.

Wait, the hoops game is first? I may go up just for that then.

Life on the Front Range, man. Could be in the 50s and sunny. I agree that it would be better if football was in the afternoon. But whatever. I can deal with cold. Most miserable I've ever been at a football game was a game in Tempe in September.

I don't deal well with cold.

Wyoming cold is a lot colder than Colorado cold. You get that wind and it just sucks the air right out of you.

You guys really need to think about this football game. It's probably going to be cold. Laramie is 7200 feet, and usually the snow comes in september and doesnt leave until mid april.
The statdium is nice and would be a fun game, but be prepped to freeze. and if the game does start at 8, there's not going to be much keeping you warm. And listen to sac on the wind. it can get brutal (gusting 40+)

That being said, there's usually a tailgate with beer/bands next to the stadium, and there's a pretty good bar (I believe it's called o'dwyers now) across the street from the dorms and about 3 blocks from the football stadium.

Sure does. If it does snow, have fun getting back to Boulder. I well remember some bus trips for basketball games where it took forever to get back to Boulder because it has snowed while we were at the game. Not fun, but at least I wasn't driving.

That stretch of US 287 between Laramie and Ft Collins is pretty in the Summertime during the day. It's Hell at night in Winter.

Debating it...

We did the road trip two years ago, and it was pretty fun. But I think it may be a good time to stay up there for the night and find some good bars figuring it will probably be a night game.

with an 8pm football start, you may have trouble finding a hotel in laramie. Capacity is up from when I was at uw, but most people in the state come to laramie for the football games and stay the night of the game. The nicest hotel is probably the hilton garden (near the AA & stadium) but if you want to be close to the bars downtown there are a few "low cost options" that you can fall over in after a few games & a few drinks.

I think I'll try and head over for the bball game, but wont stay for football. I have a feeling i'm already on thin ice with the amount of games Im going to this year.

I didnt realize they already announced the Football start time of 8pm.... hmm, so Basketball first? guess that changes things a bit.

As far as I can tell the start time for this game has not been announced. Where are you finding that?

I took it from nik, but it looks like the AD in laramie is still silent.

Ya ESPN has broadcasting rights to it and they haven't set that line up yet for that week as far as I can tell so I was curious. I am hoping for a night Bball game.

Mrs. Tractor and I will be at the basketball game. Pass on football.

Agree that Wyoming cold is very different from Co cold
