Sugar Bowl Thread - Buckeyes vs Bama

Didn't SEC teams win like 7 straight titles? That conference deserves most of what it has gotten in terms of respect.

Well... at least until the SEC Network and the ESPN hype machine going into overdrive to support it just like they did with UT when the Longhorn Network deal started. Come to think of it, it looks like ESPN overhype may be even more powerful than the Madden or SI covers.
**** the SEC

Oooooh, the espin jinx. I like it.

So sad for the sec that they don't get to have 1/2 teams appointed the the 'national championship' game anymore.

Would like to hear from Hokie or Mtn regarding a playoff sucking for college football........

urban meyer didn't know the outcome of the Oregon FSU game...

Go Bucks! Big day for the Big Ten

B1G needed those today. What it really needs is for Michigan and Penn State to get back to elite status, though. Both in good hands now with Franklin and Harbaugh, I think. And Urban's as good as it gets at Ohio State.

It was but pulling for ducks. Grew up in massillon ohio and my family and friends back there are already in full arrogance mode.

Just remind them tOSU was lucky to beat UMinn and State Penn. While other than the injury game with AZ, nobody even stayed close to UO.

Perfect example was the UCLA home game in the Rose Bowl, after UO had lost to AZ. UCLA's talent is as good as tOSU's and they were blown out in a very important and hyped game.

Outside of whoever was playing cornholio, yesterday was the first and last time I cheered for a Big team this season.

Despite FSU claiming the title of the team everyone wanted to lose, I don't think many people outside of Tuscaloosa weren't rooting for the Buckeyes.

Blond daughter during game: "Why does Ohio St. have pot leaves on their helmets?" I kid not.

Heh - we make fun of Stanford and call them the trees. OSU really are trees. Or nuts, depending on how you look at it.

espin former players/analysts now trying to spin the $ec "had targets on their backs going into these bowl games". Went on to say this was a result of the $ec's past quality and dominance.

No mention of the media lovefest that made many of these teams overrated in the first place.

Message I'm hearing now isn't that the SEC is overrated, but rather the rest of the conferences finally caught up

She is being handed drugs by the guy in the 9 jersey and then puts it in her mouth.

Speaking of arrogance. Where is BC.
