WBB '18 KY PG Mykasa Robinson (Verbal to Louisville)

Mykasa is the other half of the 'Swish Family Robinson', along with her sister, upcoming Buff frosh Alexis. This is pretty big stuff for the young Mykasa, who has been a starter for their high school team since 8th grade. There are only 35 invitees for these trials and she is the ONLY one from Kentucky from both the 2017 and the 2018 class.

Now, I have seen no evidence that she is being recruited by the Buffs, but it would be pretty silly to assume that she isn't, since her and her sister are very close. Here is a link to the story from USA.

BTW, the title of the thread should have said U16, not U18. Not sure how to fix this.

I have read a bit about Mykasa when researching about Alexis. She has received interest from Kentucky and Louisville according to one article. It seems logical that CU will be in pursuit. Let's hope that Alexis has a great experience at CU.

Depends on if the sisters want to play together. One never knows, but let's hope big sister has some influence on little sister.

Mykasa is still in the tryouts. Two cuts have happened and she is still in it.

And, for what it is worth, Coach Finlay, who is the recruiting coordinator, follows Mykasa on Twitter.

Unfortunately she did not make the final cut to the 12 players on the team but she did great getting as far as she did. I really hope that Alexis loves it here and Mykasa decides to come here too!

ProcpectsNation has just released their ranking of the top 25 WBB players for the class of 2018 ... and Mykasa is at #10 ranking. She is the top of the group with 4 star ratings. It would be so allsome if the coaches could get her to CU.

That it would be!

I'll go nuts if she ends up at Arizona.

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that for her to choose CU it will take a solid showing on and off the court this season by the Buffs. They needs to get to the WNIT and get some talented recruits for her to work with.

She's only have one season with Alexis here in Boulder.

Guessing Kelly Rae Finley was her contact at CU. If she had a home visit from Louisville, she would be crazy to take that offer over Arizona.

I will keep hoping she chooses CU, but good luck to her wherever she goes.

Well the big guns are coming out now. I guess it won't be long before we see Geno's smiling face.

CU staff is going all-in on class of '18. They have offers out to a lot of very highly rated prospects, not just Mykasa.

I agree that a big factor is whether or not having one season with Alexis is important to her. Great to see that the staff had an in-home with her.

She has some big time programs after her. Hope JR and Alexis can convince her to be a Buff!

This is what happens with a 5 star recruit. Even her injury didn't slow them down. I wouldn't even want to guess how many offers she has but I am sure that almost every major BCS school has at least flirted a little bit and most of the serious contenders are going to bring the heavy ammo now that she is a Junior. I've only been posting the pics and links because we have seldom been in serious contention for a high profile recruit in recent years and I do think we have as good a chance as anyone right now.
Kasa is a smart young lady with a terrific family who are well aware of all the pitfalls of the recruiting process and I truly believe that, in the end, she will make the best choice for her and her family and that is what should happen. If it is in Boulder, then I would be thrilled to have the chance to watch her perform and develop.

If JR and staff are going to succeed, they gotta hit their top targets for 2018. I know they are going after Kasa and Schwartz and that could be a great backcourt long term if they land them (both have major offers from their in state schools and other big programs). I have no idea who the targets are as far as inside players though.
