Just curious and trying to break the boredom of the summer. If you played football at HS, College, Semi Pro or Pro? What position did you play? Position you wish you could have played? or If you were a cheerleader, soccer, band, basketball, tennis, etc... now is your chance to tell us. Have Fun!

HS- I was LB on D and a short Tight End on O. Shortstop in baseball.

Just high school. I was a DB mainly FS on defense and a FB on offense. My running back was 6'1 200 pounds and I was 5'8 140. It was quite comical.

HS- Football, OT, TE, DE, DT
Track- discus, shot

2 knee surgeries, unknown number of concussions, broken ribs x2, various broken fingers and toes = no mas after HS.

hs - golfer
hs - hockey, center. didn't make my high school team because it was a factory. played junior gold instead which was really fun.

HS-Football, guard & DT. Loved playing DL, OL got a bit monotonous, I would have liked a shot at FB.

This except never had desire to play fullback.

Did the left knee then the right knee and decided that I didn't want to keep rehabbing just to blow one out again.

Also had cracked ribs, cracked tailbone, some dislocated fingers and a lot of what would now be diagnosed as concussions.

HS-3 year starter on DL in 5A being between 5'-6" and 5'-8" and 165 and 185.
4 year wrestler in HS with 5th in state junior, awful joke of a match in regionals but 1A from placing at State
2 month wrestler at School of Mines before the commute and worrying about grades ended that. Rugby for a month until I realized soccer players playing against former football players at Wyoming meant potential death.

2 year HS football DL coach, 5 year HS Head Wrestling Coach

Wish I had got to play FB and LB. Wish my brother and best wrestling friend in HS had not been the two weights below me so I could drop one weight and my brother one so I could have wrestled 160s senior year. Lots of wishing in one hand and pooping in another.

UBL?

HS - Safety and WR until our coach decided to do away with 2 way players my Senior year and I became full-time WR.

Looking back, I wish I had gone Safety instead as I was just getting the confidence and aggression to fly around on D when I was moved to O.

HS football - corner for three years, then more of a hybrid db/olb my senior year. I was behind two all conference/ all state guys, so I was relegated to special teams contributor.
HS lacrosse - middie. Primarily worked on the 2nd line and was a much better defender than offense. I had trouble and definitely didn't develop my left hand like I should have if I wanted to pursue lax in college.

HS = C and DT, before deciding I was not heavy enough to play inside and too slow for the outside.
HS = Wrestling, hands were too small and I was tall for weight class, so I wrestled way too many fireplugs.

Football: High School
- RB*/ILB/CB
* played in the same league as Rae Carruth and James Kidd. They were the #1 and 2 running backs in the state. I was not

Baseball: HS and semi pro
- Catcher/DH

Skiing: HS
- Slalom/GS

HS: Soccer, forward. Started varsity all 4 years. All Conference 3 years. All State as a Senior.
HS: Wrestling. Wrestled JV behind a guy who placed in State my Freshman (119) and Junior years (130). Didn't wrestle my Sophomore year because my dad wanted me to (I was a rebel like that). #2 seed in regionals as a Senior (130), but upset twice and didn't qualify for State.
HS: Track. Sprints. Went to state in the 200, 4x100 and 4x200. We had the 2nd fastest time in state in the 4x100 my Senior year, but took 7th in the finals from the 4th lane. Embarrasing.

College & Semi-Pro: Soccer, forward & wide midfielder. I kinda sucked at that level.

HS:
Track: Long Jump & Triple Jump, the most ridiculous athletic event evar.
BB: Center / Forward.
College: I went to England for my freshman year. Played collegiate club ball (no official BB league at university level), and it was a school with a huge number of JYA (Jr Year Abroad) guys from the States, including about 8 from CU. Some pretty good players, really. We'd drink a few pints before each game, get up by 20+ points by halftime, have another pint, then I'd play point guard or bomb threes from midcourt in the second half. We even played for the U.K. National Club championship that year. The Brits suck at hoops; but in that game the team from Manchester had a bunch of pretty good players from the U.S., and they were sober. Dammit.

Junior High
Football: C, NT
Basketball: Low post (4)
Baseball: 1B, P, C

Broken neck freshman year derailed football
Bad timing of move from Idaho to Dallas derailed baseball
Basketball - I had no chance. White men can't jump...especially in Dallas

Baseball: 1st base - would have been all-state, but I was too fat and slow and I didn't have enough talent...and there were better players. If it wasn't for that, I would have been a shoe-in.

4 year- swimming 50 Free; 100 Breast
3 year- track discus
4 year- hi-Q mathelete
2 year- ultimate frisbee center (state chanp)
