Got my tickets for CU-csu today...

I'm really disappointed again, I have the same seats as last year. Section 110 (in the corner). I'm calling tomorrow to see what i can do, but i'm sure nothing will happen. Anyone else get theirs?

I got mine as well. For the second year in a row, I will actually be out of the endzone. I am in section 104 row 41 or so. Should put me on the 30 yard line I believe. To me, the seating looks to have gotten better. At least I am closer to the seats I have in Boulder.

Where can one get single tickets? My brother is in town with a friend that weekend and I need to scramble to find two extras.

I would call the CU ticket office. I know CSU is selling singles thru their ticket office. Maybe Ticketmaster too, but they probably jack up the fees.

Hey Buff Brad and Cornh8r, where are your tickets at Folsom and how long have you had season tickets?

I'm getting sick and tired of getting ****ed by the AD when it comes to seats at Invesco. We're Sec 108 at Folsom, and get **** on at Invesco once again - Sec 110 for the second straight year. We used to be in 107 at Folsom until last year. We got ****ed then, too.

I hate this game at Invesco. Why the hell can't we play a home and home and let CSU pick the location of their home game?

That's exactly what we're doing. This is a CSU home game that is part of the CU season ticket package because it's being played in Denver.

We have 50 yard line seats at Folsom which we moved to through donations over the years so we have a bunch of points but end up with bad seats at Invesco.

Frankly, I don't go to this game any longer as of last year (when at Invesco). I like the game/atmoshpere once inside the stadium barring where our seats have been ending up but I HATE the experience while getting into the stadium. There is no way to avoid the students on both sides. I am just tired of the multiple times me and my wife have had to face off with truckloads of drunk-ass punks wanting to spit beer on us or try to start fights just for wearing CU gear.

Yah - I sound like an old fart, but for this one I have learned that I enjoy going to a friendly bar with buddies and hanging out with a mixed crowd of "adults" who want to enjoy the game and give friendly jabs to each other. I do my job - I make sure CU gets the money for the tickets and I only sell my tickets to CU fans. Heck, the money I make from selling the tickets almost covers the booze I consume in the first half.

I have had season tickets since 90 the year after I graduated. I started on the low end giving $100 per seat and have steadily moved up. I am now in Section 106 with 4 seats ($300 per seat contribution and then the cost of the tickets - like $400 per seat including the game at Invesco). I think I am also in the top 10% of priority point holders at this point as I have been giving every year and most times my compay matched my contribution.

I will agree with you that I hate the game in Denver. I like the college setting and all that goes along with it. The seats are also never as good as the seats in Boulder - even with the improvement I have seen over the last 2 years.

Also, while I will not go down the road of another thread you can find on the value of the CSewe game, I wish we would only schedule the lambs every 2-3 years. They need the game much more than we do and we should use that leverage to keep it in the college stadiums when we do actually play them.

I feel your pain on this one. Last year was my first year at a game at Invesco that I was not in an endzone. It was also the first year I stepped up to the $300 per seat contribution so it looks like it is a total money decision as far as how they allocate tickets. Wish I had a better answer for you.

Exactly, you had your two home games, now CSU is having their two home games at Invesco. Doesnt the game go back to Boulder next year?

I suspect a vast ft Collins conspericy against buffs fans at invesco to punish CU as payback for playing CU's home game in boulder.
With van punk gone and a weak sunny lubuck team this year, I expect a more chill atmosphere this time around. I doubt rick reilly will pen an SI column focusing on CSU-CU trash talk this time around. Wouldn't
be surprised if scalpers offer good seats below face value on game day.
Go CU. Silence the lambs (again)

Did you miss last year, cuz whats with this "again" talk? With Van Pelt gone? Dude, he's been gone for 3 years. I dont think it will EVER be "chill" between these teams.

i don't think it would suprise anyone that you in particular feel that way.

Were you at the game last year?

what does last year have to do with the claim that the series will not EVER be "chill"?

how up do you think csu fans will be when cu is up and running again? be realistic - csu has never - ever - taken out a cu team that amounted to a hill of beans. their primary success has occured during a time period where there has been a quick progression of change, and most recently during a time of depletion.

cu is csu's superbowl. i wonder who will want to watch when cu starts to pound ass to the tune of 21+ points each year?

Last year was a 10-14 snoozer. CSU didn't exactly win. They just sucked less. Face it. Neither team showed up. The only thing remarkable about that game was how petty the so-called "rivalry" has become. Which student section can drink and cus more? Whatever. Who cares.

Last year's game was on par with watching Ft Lewis play Wasted State in intramural broom hockey. This game was neither program's proudest moment. I didn't miss last year's game, but I wish I did.

As for this season, when a 2-10 team plays a lower ranked 4-8 team in this season's opener, it is basically nothing more than a gussied up scrimmage. Both fan bases should spend more energy worrying about not embarassing themselves. This isn't a Rocky Mountain Showdown about pride. It's about regaining some shred of respectibility after enduring a large dose of humiliation. It doesn't get more chill than that.

Wanna bet Bradlee doesn't show up drunk on the sidelines this year?
With Van Punk finally off of the Broncos bench, Elvis has left the Invesco building. Good riddance.

It was just a simple, yes or no question. Why is it so hard for you to answer a simple question?

Your "hill of beans" assumption is incorrect, 2002's Buff team had 9 wins and a loss to the rammies.

YEAH! we sure were sweeping the nation in 2002! WOOT what a glory year that was!

it included these fine accomplishments:

* a loss to the lammies.
* an ass kicking by the trojans (we got a single field goal!)
* getting owned in norman.
* getting owned again by oklahoma at the big 12 championship game
* losing to a wiscy team that was pretty damn tame in the alamo bowl.

you are right. that was a ****ing fantastic year for the buffs. at least we beat up on every other team who was more tarded than we were. in fact, we were so awesome, we ended the season.... UNRANKED!!!!

yep, you are right. the ewes beat a helluva tem there. just smashing. WAY TO GO!!!!

your post gives incredible insight as to husker fans think they are really something, when they have a similar record and results.

9 wins is still 9 wins. You still havent answered my simple yes or no question.

clearly, 9 wins does not make a season as good as you would like to suggest, now does it?

i will also note that you have not answered the question as to the proposed bet, which, by the way, is a topic that you ran your mouth on considerably. it also is an older question. so what gives?

 Seriously, just type yes or no then hit reply. Is it that hard, or are you really just this much of a stubborn asswipe?

And I did answer your bet question. Apparently you are being extra dense today, so here you go...

i just wanted to give you every benefit of the doubt, lammie, to sack up because you were the one who first taunted that i must have been talking out of my ass with respect to the pac 10 championship bet. who is the one who ultimately is talking out of his ass?

I will not repeat myself again. I have addressed this many times.
