This one hurts

I must be doing it wrong; some of you guys saying you're beyond hurting after losses like this. This is still gut-wrenching for me. So close...

Missed the game, we went to the state fair. So, one of the few plays on the ESPN playback was Sefo's early 96-yard pick 6. But isn't there just an obvious-as-hell block in the back on that play? Still not good, but should have UCLA ball in their own territory, right?

Yes, it was a block on Sefo about 7 yards behind the ball carrier and should have been called. P12 refs

Yeah, I'm not sure about these intangible things that Sacky keeps seeing week to week. Quitting against Arizona? Expecting to lose today? I see quite the opposite out of this team.
This team wants to win. We need a big lead to win against a superior talented team. We don't have the talent to win those type of games.

We are consistently in every game. Its a talent issue and its so obvious to me. Mac has to find coaches who are resilient at recruiting.

We lost this game in 3 plays. As stupid as that sounds, and as bad as that sounds, with our crappy play the last how ever many years, I truly believe it. Tired of the excuses, tired of these type of games. Get the athletes who make the plays that UCLA did, and we win going away.

Had Ross competed for the ball the pick 6 wouldn't have happened. It was a bad ball but Ross was in position to make sure that it wasn't picked off and he didn't.
How do you "compete" for the ball when it's thrown 4 feet behind you. C'mon man, that throw sucked.

Bad throw but Ross had his hands close to the ball and was body to body with the DB. Had that been Spruce It would have likely been incomplete or at worst a pick and tackled close to where it happened.

This one doesnt hurt me... It stung but They could have folded up down 21-3 and they didnt... so call me an apologist or whatever, but im more encouraged than i have been all year that there actually is progress. Granted its slower than what most of us want(myself included) but its ongoing. I too am firmly behind mac (this is more directed at people who were ****ting all over the chat room at the end of the game)

I fully expected us to get boat raced. So it's hard to be too upset. I wish we could have pulled that out but the performance far exceeded my expectations

True. The frustration, anger and hostility is borne of 10 years of this crap...not just today.

Absolutely....ten years ago, any loss devastated me for days....literally. Now? Meh.....sorry to say.

My problem is we shouldn't have been down 21-3. Rest of what you wrote, ill be watching how they react. We all get Sefo is tough and has heart but he's gotta stop killing us with stupid throws.

That was the throwto Spruce for first down. I'm talking the pick 6. At least from the angle I saw on TV, he was breaking his back to get to it.
I was referring to the same play as you. I'm more in agreement with Mtn on this one.

There was one team out there that expected to win. They did. The result of this game came as no surprise to me whatsoever.

Yes....just like when we had a winning program, and we always won over lesser teams even on off days. No difference.

What has to happen is that CU needs to win one of these games that nobody - even themselves - expects to win. Next week vs. Stanford would be a good place to start.
Agreed. Just about all our remaining games except for WSU would qualify. Win one. Come to think of it, win more than one

I shut it off and ran errands after the pick six. I knew we were gonna lose, it sounds like we played a helluva game, but same results - ****ing L

Totally agree. I'm mostly numb to this by now. Recently, going up against a top 25 team on the road would have been ugly. I'm just trying to keep some perspective.
