They made a good game of it. Solid season.

To those who would say we have reached our ceiling with Tad, I'd say "making the tournament four out of every five years is a ceiling that 90% of the teams in college hoops would love to have."
If this is our ceiling, I'm pretty happy here.

I feel like some people on this board really overrate the importance of in-game coaching in basketball.
^^and this is why as a fan you're expectations every year under Boyle you will be satisfied.
One of the worst coached games as a college ref & high school coach I have ever endured.

You cannot say this enough. In the second half when UCONN really got tough on D and made a run we needed a PG who could settle things down and get us into some semblance of an offense. Dom was in at this time and we looked ragged and lost out there. I was never a big fan of XT, but the team looked better/looser when he was on vs TA and Dom. Tad stated in an offseason luncheon last season that Dom had THIS season to prove he was worthy of being the PG and getting significant minutes. He didn't do it. The job should be wide open from tomorrow on.

Peters, White, and Akyazili are going to be coming for Dom's spot. He better be ready.

Yaz's play disappointed me a little today. I like him though. He needs to really work hard in the off season to develop his shot and ball skills. But he was a pleasant surprise this year and is going to be a strong contributor for the next 3 or 4 years.

gotta laugh at the idiots calling for tad's head.
No ****! I could see looking at the last 5 years and we were Kentucky or NC...sure, that coach would probably be on the hot seat. Tad will leave when he wants to...he's not being fired dumbasses.

This argument is stale. If you're okay with being just a step above mediocre then that's great. Lack of past success should not be a barometer for a coach. We have new facilities, new AD and it's time to make the change. But we won't. We will be flirting with the bottom of the PAC 12 next year when we lose Scott.
LOL

Hopefully josh fortune will graduate and pursue his lifelong dream of not playing basketball anymore.
JF could be the "fall guy" for the globetrotters - the guy who starts a circus play by turning the ball over. They wouldn't even have to tell him that's his role.

Define "strong contributor." You are just throwing out feel-good platitudes right now.

Haven't watched much Buff hoops this year but I watched this entire game. The team's composure/confidence is paper thin. A bad 2 or 3 minutes totally freaked them out for good today. Also, so many great defensive rebounds and such crappy foul shooting. Someone must have told these guys that the rim is radioactive, because no one drives hard to the basket. If there were a lot of games like this during the season you have my sympathy. Scott is a warrior. Good luck to him in the future. I'm interested in next season however; the team played a great first half. Hopefully the transfer from CU Colo Spgs can shoot like he did down there, and hopefully Peters can help Dom improve or replace him altogether.

BTW, there's such a thing as institutional confidence. UConn EXPECTS to win 8/9 seed games, CU HOPES to.

Guards, Guards, Guards! We have only hit our ceiling with Tad if this is the best guard play he ever gets. Next year, better guards on the way- White better take a decent chunk of Fortunes' minutes and Peters better be able to contribute some minutes at the point. I suspect we'll see significantly better guard play next season.
