Not a lot of emotional investment on my part with this tournament. I haven't even looked at my bracket because it was a horror show by the end of the first Thursday.

So, let's make this a bit more interesting and let everyone know who you're rooting for. And if you don't have a team, adopt one.

If you don't have a good reason to pick a team -- make one up.

The Contenders:

Kansas
Villanova
North Carolina
Notre Dame
Oregon
Oklahoma
Virginia
Syracuse

I'm going for Villanova.

1. Grew up a Big East fan.

2. HC Jay Wright looks like Dracula.

My study abroad roommate went to Villanova, so each yeah I keep them in my bracket a bit too long.

I'm rooting for my bracket, but if I was out of it I am Team Buddy all the way. Love that guy.

Virginia - out of respect for one of AB's better posters on the topic of college basketball.

Oklahoma because Buddy Hield. Virginia because I think they're the best hope at keeping UNC or Kansas from winning the championship.

Also **** Notre Dame, **** Syracuse and most of all **** Dana Altman.

Think we all know it's Virginia for me. It's been a long wait to get back here and a Virginia/Carolina Final Four is a dream within reach. I'm not generally a fan of meeting conference teams in the Dance, but that would be a special matchup. At the very least, Virginia does big athletics the right way, unlike the sleaze that pervades at least 3-4 of the remaining programs.

Think Virginia and Villanova are really the only hopes of preventing KU or UNC. Wasn't particularly high on Nova heading in, but they've looked excellent. ND beat UNC in South Bend, but lost by 32 in the ACCT. Cuse fell by 5 and 11. Sooners fell twice to KU. One was a game for the ages, but they lost, and it seems like OU was playing better ball in January than recently. Oregon is playing their best ball, but they'd get in a track meet with UNC and would not come out on top.

Everyone should be worried by Paige getting hot for UNC last night. They're damn near impossible to beat when he's in the mix.

It's probably going to take a collective effort to prevent one of those evil programs from winning. Not sure anyone could pluck off both.

Back the Pac. Oregon.

Followed by Buddy and OU, Nova. UVA would be the only ACC team that wouldn't be intolerable. If Cuse wins, i might stop watching college basketball.

To each their own, but have a different dream.

I have a different dream.

I call Oregon winning a nightmare

Edit: I'd much rather UNC lose and not face them. **** UNC. However, it's an equivalent of CU facing Arizona in the Final Four. The appeal is clear if you're UVA. A Final Four consisting of two longtime border state rivalries (UVA/UNC, KU/OU) would be a unique set up.

Holding my nose and sort of rooting for Oregon. I can't stand them and Altman is as slimy as they get. But, you know, it would be cool to say we beat the National Champions.

I'll go ahead and be the only KU vote. I married in to it. And it was easy to adopt as my 2nd team 10 years ago, because I always got a team in March to root for

UVa. Because my kids may very well end up going there - we're doing college visits for spring break and UVa. is on Thursday. VT on Tuesday and Roanoke College on Wednesday.

Oregon shafted the nine of us who were hoping that the PAC wouldn't be utterly embarassed in the post season.

I just don't get how you see Hield play and not root for the guy. I hate OU athletics but root for this bball team.

And if not OU, UVa due to my respect for Tony Bennett. I also am a Brogdon fan.
