Baylor Rape HQ - (major lawsuit settled)

Why so fixated on Baylor? CU is the football team you should care about.

My myopic friend, the reason Baylor deserves CU's scorn is quite simple.

The existence of sexual assault that takes place within any NCAA football program undermines the integrity of college football everywhere. Baylor is taking a dump on the institution that we love. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Football would be better off if Baylor took a time out and cleaned up their lack of institutional control.

This goes beyond athletics. That university has serious issues at all levels and it needs to get fixed. Now.

Rotten from top to bottom.

Our universities are supposed to play a significant roll in the development of our future leaders. What kind of message is sent when the university is willing to place winning games and promoting the university ahead of the lives of these women who are victims.

Clearly the university administrators and stewards of the football program have demonstrated sufficient neglect to warrant a prompt house cleaning of the elements who looked the other way as these indiscretions ran wild. Ken Starr, athleteic director Ian McCaw, and head coach Art Briles should all be pressured into resigning and BU can replace them with leaders who will enact real institutional change. They could save money by having Dr. Tom Osborne replace all three.

Funny how when they have players that might be of future use to the football team (Sam Ukwuachu) the allegations stay hidden for over a year, but when the player is done with football (Oakman) the allegations are made public 5 days later. What a weird coincidence!

**** those guys.

Get yer hands right here, see, and say, let's play the non-touching game. We get as close as we can, but touching is a no-no. It's a matter of discipline, and if Baptists aren't the smartest in the crowd, by golly (excuse my language), we're the most disciplined. Hands right here. Get 'em close, but don't touch!

"Wahl, ya'll gotta see it for whaat it is. It's biblical I tell ya. The bible says, oh at least ma pastor tells me, I never read it fo ma self, that the wommens gotta submit to the men. Now waht women in huh rat mind don't wanna submitt to one ah our fine athah-letes he' at this fahn Baptist un-iversitah. They just gettin ready fo they biblical respon-sa-billaties."

Replace Briles with Dan Hawkins. Replace Kenneth Starr with Phil DiStefano. Get Mike Bohn back in the saddle as the B12 AD at Baylor.

Easy Peasy.
