Sure be great if we could land a kid from Westlake too. A premier program in Texas and has been for a while now.

Well, this is interesting. Wonder what he'll do. Prep school? Just not play this year?

That's a bad break. He is going to have to complete the right classes and graduate but cannot participate in football? Almost like a greyshirt year for 2016-2017. I feel bad for the kid.

The University Interscholastic League has denied an appeal from Zabie, who was seeking a waiver to the UIL’s “Four Year Rule.” A UIL spokesperson told the American-Statesman that the appeal was denied on Tuesday by a unanimous vote from the organization’s Waiver Review Board, and that Zabie will be ineligible for the 2016 season.

The UIL declined to give specifics about the appeal, but Westlake head coach Todd Dodge said the issue centered on Zabie’s time in his hometown of Philadelphia. After a return from living with family in the Ivory Coast, Zabie struggled academically after he was classified as an eighth-grader despite being only 11.

Zabie, 18, was officially classified as a high school student during the 2012-13 school year, and he then had to repeat the ninth grade. Link

I'm not sure what he can do. Maybe leave the state? IMG?

maybe he can come play for Valor Christian? they have a way to get these kids eligible

I kid

In reading up some more, this kid is Stephan Nembot, part two! He is from a West African country, has only been playing football for two years, and the OL position for 1. He's going to be a project for some team. Offer list is very nice.
