"Maybe" not push him?!?!

No.

Never, ever push him.

Football is a physical, violent game. A game. Not war. Not combat. Not gladiators in the pit. The lines get blurred so often even though they are plain and clear.

I am wondering the relevance of that incident to the larger Tumpkin issues.

Obviously, Tumkin was so traumatized by the beratement he received that he went home and took it out on his girl friend.

/sarcasm

Like for a suit against CU filed by Tumpkin?

Seems like a longshot, but sure.

I was more wondering with so many posts about MacIntyre's actions being heavily/unfairly scrutinized (a fair discussion), how bringing up an incident which had probably been forgotten by most people is helpful to MacIntyre.

With as long as this investigation is taking, I'm assuming no stone will be left unturned. Cell phone records, film that fell on the cutting room floor of CU Video, e-mails, expense accounts, the salaries of staffers, and whatever whatever drives the billable hours of outside counsel, it doesn't matter.

Dr DiStefano and the Regents will certainly get to the bottom of this.

Little chance they are digging in directions outside mandate around Tumpkin issue. If they find other matters, that's a separate investigation.

The top line results have been known 2-3 weeks now. Now getting ducks in row regarding release and actions. My suspicion is that they are helping rewrite policies, thus the "delay". I don't find this particularly drug out. They have other cases. And this needs to get worked through CU system.

I'd like to think that they already know what they'll actually do. At the same time, that's what worries me. If mistakes were made, fix them and move the **** on. Doesn't benefit anybody dragging this bs out.

I have no clue what is going on.

My hope is that they are going to drop it on Dr. Phil and are waiting for the right time to "retire" him and start the search for the new chancellor.

So, any new news?

You should expect resolution. The Regents did not need to call a special meeting if they were not prepared to take action.
