NEW: Regents Meeting, Benson Decision, Investigation Report -- Monday, 6/12

Will not reach a decision today per Howell, this has all gone balls up.

EDIT- Not even holding a public session.

The length of the the private session is not giving me warm fuzzy's. Starting to think we're going to shoot ourselves in the foot again.

The optics aren't that great to supposedly handle this issue with concern and at the same time ratify Coach MM's agreement.

Do I have it right this was a special session? It may be they realize they couldn't handle this topic on the regularly scheduled meeting on June 15-16 and delay ratifying MM's contract.

Well I doubt Benson is going anywhere since he is to "outline the changes and recommend appropriate actions on the other CU employees".

97 page report, won't be public. Mike MacIntyre, Rick George and Phil DiStefano were all present for at least part of today's regents meeting

If the report brought good news, this would have been resolved quickly and painlessly. Somebody doesn't want that result and wants to put some hurt on football and the AD. Arguing for 6+ hours means the devil is on the loose

Actually I am going to disagree with people. The tone of the announcement and its primary focus was on policy changes. I think this is good news for everyone but Phil and that we will see an announcement about his departure prior to the next session. Then MM will get his extension.

Yeah hopefully it is more about confirmation from benson about Phil D getting axed, otherwise I have no idea.

Look I agree that I hope it's a change in policy and that Phil gets the boot, but if they f this up and cost us Coach Mac and Rick George, I'm done with CU. The board of regents just doesn't care about athletics, they despise it.
