Northern Colorado Game Week (Official Thread)

The coaches have absolutely dropped the ball in RB recruiting, but that doesn't mean Adkins is absolved from stupid mistakes.
He fumbled and was benched. I didnt say that was a bad decision. I simply pointed out he has been just fine this year otherwise.

hey, we're 3-0.
Half way to a bowl game, ahead of UCLA after today's loss to Memphis.
We will see how they stack up against Washington next week, and then we'll see how we stand in the PAC.

Mac knows how to prepare for the big games (except last years bowl game), so I tihnk we'll be fine overall.

That O line needs work and nastiness, though.

The main thing, I think, is that this team is not as good as they think they are.

I hope to be proven wrong. I mean, it's not like USC was the same team against Stanford that we saw against Western Michigan.

It would be cool if they could learn that humility by struggling with teams they should handle, instead of waiting to get drummed by a conference opponent.

Which basically sums up Adkins: he is okay until the inevitable injury or mistake. He is not in any way an answer to RB, which you implied when you replied to my initial post about RBs other than Lindsay.

Don't all players make mistakes? Guy fumbled once, dude.

I am going to channel A. Rodgers... R-E-L-A-X
I don't think anyone expected this years team to repeat what last years team accomplished. Yet, here they are at 3-0 and just put almost 600 yards of offense, had players ejected, committed 3 turnovers, conservative play calling by the OC, RB ran for the 2nd best total of his career and the coaches have a LOT of material for development after this game.
IMO, the plan for HCMM was to not show a lot of their offense thru three games. Certainly they hoped to play better. I definitely hoped for more offensive output, then again, I don't have unrealistic expectations for this years team.

Montez also ran for 68 yards on 10 carries today.

I think people might be overreacting a bit. The bright side is that I think that the offensive coordinators have a better understanding of their offense especially more zone reads and pass the ball to set up the run (or more zone reads). It's also good that our defense got exposed today so the defensive coaches will work on plugging those leaks in practice this coming week.

I'd want to play UNC again in the future and I think I will watch some UNC games online or in person this year.

Anytime we need a one-off against an FCS opponent, they should be our first call.

It's getting about the right time to fire Mac. He rebuilt the program and created a solid baseline of talent.

That being said the recruiting sucks and he can't take us to the next level.

Showing the team that championship game tape again tomorrow should work wonders.........I want this game next week BAD.

Every player makes mistakes, some players mistakes are excused more than others. This somehow still seems like a foreign concept to you as if there is no context at all in regards to Adkins' career.

He only fumbled once today.

Pure speculation

If the fumble was mixed in with a bunch of positive it would be different.

Early in his career Adkins looked like a future star.

Since then he has been disappointments one after another. He has missed a lot more than he has played and there have been some very real questions about how injured he has been. When he has played he has shied away from contact.

Now today he goes out and fumbles, yes guys fumble, but you don't go to the bench with a big grin on your face after you do it.

He doesn't have the size, the speed, the moves, but given who we are I'd rather have Evans out there than Adkins as the backup to Lindsay. I know with him we are getting everything he has on every play.

Today was upset Saturday, we survived. Hell, Blowhio St is beating Army by 10 right now. Still have a lot to work on obviously but got the W. Not satisfied because we do stupid ****. Oh btw Adkins, somebody should've cleaned your clock in the locker room and said you smiling now? ****ing punk.

I have so many things to do this afternoon, but I cannot take my eyes off the 2001 Nebraska game on PAC (Big) 12 Classics

Oh what a game!!!

Interesting to see how that team would flip flop the offensive line by putting the stronger linemen on the open field side, and the weaker on the boundary side. Gurode was a freaking beast!!! It would be amazing to find another Chris Brown.

50/50 on the RB recruiting. I am hopeful that Fontenot is good, and hoping Deion Smith will be good. Why us Donovan Lee so in the dog house?
