I still don't think that I fully understand a UBL so it is nice that I can take a moment and appreciate being around for the advent of the B_Walk.
Same. I only know what UBL stands for. Someone tried to explain it to me and guided me towards the thread but it still makes minimal sense to me

If you make a joke subtly, then someone else comes out and just says the joke. Infuriatingly, the second person often gets the credit.

Are you saying the UBL is that simple? My reading comprehension must be terrible..

UBL is a really obvious joke which everyone gets and someone takes the time to reply with the punch line. Derived from the acronym of a former member who did it enough to gain the moniker.

I think what causes the confusion is there have been a few occasions where someone says "UBL???" when it clearly wasn't one.

Wasn’t he the Scranton strangler? How will that affect recruiting?

What is the story with Frank Maile the USU interim HC. Is he going to TT or staying at USU? Both now have DCs so he gets demoted from DC to DL coach either way. Is that right? Maybe he could join CU as DL coach instead.

That is incredible! Thanks!
Four of them actually. Missed Dickerson. Just made me wonder how much angst the AB community would be expressing over these hires had this board been active at the time. 'That coach is not in our footprint' kind of thing. And they would have been right...for about four years. Then it all changed, and within another three years, well...National Championship. In 1986 I was a freshman in Libby Hall. I had no interest in football whatsoever. But...the Nebraska game. I could hear the cheers erupting out of Folsom Field, only 100 yards away. The game wasn't even over when I ran outside to ask people leaving the stadium what had happened. They were all Nebraska fans, leaving a bit early it seemed, who couldn't fathom that someone wouldn't know exactly what was going on with the football program. 'Very funny' was the only response to my inquiries. Haven't missed a game since. I think I'll let Coach Tucker bring in who he can get now...make changes as he sees fit later...and make my decision as to who was a good hire a few years down the road.

That find is a hell of a first post. Nice job and welcome!

McCartney named himself OC his first year? That's crazy! I had no idea. I was 8 years old. Could you imagine this place if Georgia DC Mel Tucker came in here and named himself OC? PANDEMONIUM!!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
In my mind he did name himself DC, and I am cool with that.

Summers’ tenure as DC using S&P+
UCF:
‘12: 46th
‘13: 51st
‘14: 27th
CSU:
‘15: 90th (Uhhm)

That 2014 was made more impressive by the fact their offense had totally collapsed that year, and the team's overall performance was falling apart. They'd finish 0-12 and dead last in S&P the next year.
