Sh!t just got real with CU recruiting

What are the odds MT can pull Fields from Georgia? Supposedly going to transfer. Was #2 qb last year
First off, I'd love this

Only problem I see is that he plans to appeal to the NCAA to be eligible immediately, and I could see him looking at Montez as a reason not to come here. Hope I'm wrong in that.

Lets see, NFL talent (despite what you think) vs a largely unproven player.

Fields wouldn't beat him out. Sorry.
You realize he was the #2 recruit in the country and played last year despite being behind someone that led his team to the CFP Championship the year before year right?

Does a five star freshman SEC qb really not think he can beat out Montez?
Show me an example of a 5* transfer QB with almost 0 experience beating out a 3 yr starter.

The only reason it might be possible is the coaching change, but still.

If Montez had been the problem with the O, or just really struggled over the past 2 years, maybe.

I'd LOVE to get him. I just brought up the thought that if he's trying to be eligible next season, he might look to go somewhere else that he's a lot more probable to be the starter, not somewhere he'd have to compete with that much experience.

Why would he go to Oklahoma if he wants to play right away? Has their qb announced he’s going to play baseball?

How many 5* QBs transfer in the first place? Montez is also a 2 year starter in seasons where the team went 5-7, in large part (not solely) because the offense was inept. Montez is wildly inconsistent and will be learning an entirely new offense, whereas Fields is at least familiar with it.

Fields wouldn't start. IDK if I'd consider Fields an NFL prospect based on what I've seen. He's not better than Montez right now though.

Fields was playing as a true freshman in the SEC. And he wasn’t the QB, he was just in for gimmick plays. It’s a little early for NFL projections with him.

Just based off rumblings that really don’t have much basis coupled with my own personal opinions. I would put Fields to Oklahoma at 75% and the rest of the field at 24% with CU getting it’s own 1% because of him at least having a relationship with Tucker. But realistically Oklahoma makes so much sense. A system that’s proven to highlight a dual-threat freak athlete with an offensive genius at the helm

I’d agree with that. One thing is who knows if he’ll get approved to play right away. Also there’s a lot of people that don’t think he’ll be the coach there anymore and he jumps to the pros. Be interesting to see
