Sh!t just got real with CU recruiting

It’d be crazy if he went to OU since OU has secured the commitment of Spencer Rattler. Landing the #1 DT QB from this class was huge since Riley recruited Rattler himself. Risking being the backup again wouldn’t be great for Fields.
Didn’t even take a minute to look at OU’s class, my fault. Good point then, I don’t have any idea who might be a front runner then

Turning this thread into a bash Montez thread is the worst of Allbuffs. Come on guys.

Also, Perry signing early? That **** is REAL.
Discussing whether it makes sense for the 2018 #2 overall player in the country to come to CU because of the presence of a 2 year starter at QB is a legitimate recruiting conversation, especially if **** is truly getting real.

Remember, Darrell Scott was the #2 player in the country too.

definitely a GOAT, no way anyone could come in and possibly beat him out. FACT

Ouch! The truth hurts. I’m a Montez fan The only thing about him that is NFL ready is his arm strength. He has developed a bit of touch on Long passes but that is it.

I don’t put much of this season or last on Montez’s shoulders. Our Oline and play calling was so bad it is tough to tell how good he is, but I will say there are many QB’s in college football that are better suited for winning games at the college level. Fields is probably one of them.

Yes. But if a person cannot make an argument for brining in elite level talent without resorting to bashing current guys on the roster, maybe they should leave the commentary to others.

The argument was made that Fields wouldn’t beat out Montez to which I disagree with and stated my case based on watching Montez play the last two years. You can call it bashing if you want; I call it being objective.

Wasn't really about your post in isolation. There were several other posts, including a cherry-picked video of what is probably Montez's single-worst performance as a Buff, which continued to push a certain narrative against the kid. The notion that Fields would be scared of competing with Montez (assuming he were eligible right away), was ridiculous enough on its face to not require much in the way of rebuttal. I'm no mod though, so don't let me stand in your way if you have some things you need to get off your chest.
