Never heard of him, just figured it was somebody we didn't look at earlier, for whatever reasons.

Please don't open recruiting threads without a proper profile. Just wait until it's been created if you don't know how.

Don't know his story but very often when HS kids have traumatic situations like this they end up losing credits they need in school to stay on track for graduation and for the clearinghouse.

Doesn't mean they are bad students but with losing parents and moving and all the rest of the turmoil it is understandable that he wouldn't be able to complete some classes or that he would lose some classes in the process of changing schools.

Getting himself back to where he is able to be eligible shows a lot of drive and self-determination.

Also noticed on the bottom of the tweet that the Aunt listed him as both a RB and a CB. Looks like he has the natural athletic ability to do both. Nice bonus in a recruit.

His reel reminds me of Deion Smith, but he's a little smaller and a little faster. Both reels have a lot of clips where they simply outrun everyone else. It's not at all clear that they have the toughness or instincts to run inside. I hope they do, but there isn't enough in either reel to know. You can teach some of that. You can't teach speed, though. The kid can fly!

I think that HCMT is a pretty good judge of toughness. If he thinks Oates has it I'll trust him until proven wrong.

I have no doubt he is fast. But 4.25 fast? I don’t believe I have ever seen a forty that fast.

My crack research team tells me the fastest 40 at the Combine is 4.22 and the World Record is 4.12. Bo Jackson claimed to have run. 4.13.

His laser timed 40 was 4.41.
Stop with anything less because the 4.3 was hand timed and thus meaningless.
