Official Bowl Games Thread

In Orlando on business this week, very strange at about the complete lack of Buzz for this game. Several people I talked to you actually "said what game?".

I am curious who you think would see the field?
Landman for sure. Nixon played out of position most of the year on the outside. I actually think he has the potential to be an All Conference slot receiver. Davion Taylor is slightly undersized, but he's an NFL caliber athlete. Mustafa would be a rotation guy. Antwine and Lang probably wouldn't have played much for either team this year but certainly have the potential to develop into NFL guys. Possibly Wells.

Based on this season, he would not start over any of the LBs on either team. Perhaps he becomes that caliber of dude in 2019.
Like I said...Landman is an NFL guy. Not every guy for Clemson and Bama is. Plus, Landman would have the same coaching and have dominant D lines in front of him, which would make him look even better.

On the Nixon point...Renfroe is an all world slot guy for Clemson, and he's an average athlete. He gets used properly though.

Yikes. Wells? You see how Jennings plays OLB?

The only one who might be in the two-deep on either of these teams, outside of Laviska, is Landman. I don't think Landman would actually make the two deep.

Man. Clemson is just playing fantastic right now. Vegas is ****ting their pants. 15 or more points and they lose big.

Trevor Lawrence is the most NFL-ready freshman QB I have ever seen. More than Peyton Manning was. If he could enter the draft, I think he'd go #1 overall.
I saw a suggestion today by some NFL guys that Lawrence could be the best NFL prospect for any position ever. He’s definitely the Andrew Luck type of prize for whoever lands at #1 overall in 2021

Where have I been? People think he’s that good?

I will reiterate my point. These guys aren't all NFL draft picks. Some of them are good but look great because they're playing next to a bunch of day 1 draft picks. I believe Landman will be a high draft pick and he'd excel for either of these teams.

Probably true. But Alabama’s 19’ class has 0 players rated under 4 stars. They’re almost only recruiting guys who could be NFL guys at this point.

You can reiterate it all you want, there's a big reason why they are in the top 5 in recruiting and we are in the top 60.

Alabama seems like they coasted too much at times this season.
Sometimes being that talented makes it harder when a team that can match up has a good game plan, isn't afraid, and is clicking. Happened in hoops to that 2015 Kentucky team that had so much All-American talent it had to run 2 lines by subbing 5 at a time like they were a hockey team or something.
