Official Buffs vs. USC Game Thread

Everybody knew this would happen ... it was inevitable. This is what a loser program looks like. Complete garbage. An accurate QB on one side who makes pinpoint throws with the game on the line vs another QB who airmails over and over with no pressure in his face.

You thought last year’s season-ending losing streak was bad?

We were the better football team. We pounce on one of those footballs on that last drive we're celebrating.

Some of these assistants need to go at the end of this year. Starting with Summers. You get **** like this choke job when you bring a bunch of quality control people with you.

Sorry, a lot of emotion in my first post. When this team - and specifically MT - get conservative, it does not bode well for us. Playing for OT against AFA, punting inside the 40, even giving Montez an option short of the sticks on fourth down. We’re so much better when loose and aggressive. Three pretty atrocious home losses in a row.
 
I'm done with this team this year. That was disguising. F***KING REFS GIFT WRAP THE GAME TO USC EVERY F***ING YEAR. EVERY YEAR. How do you not call roughing the passer and targeting on that? How do you not check that extremely critical spot. NJ FALO HAD 3...3 CHANCES TO GET A FREAKING TURN OVER. Punt twice inside the 40? 6,000 Penalties, which btw is a direct reflection of the coach and lack of discipline.

Literally every year against this team. Refs. PAC12 needs their championship game with USC in it thats for d*mn sure.
 
Montez was awesome for 3 quarters, then he gets that hit.

I have to question putting him in after. The over the top throws were way off. He turned the wrong way at least twice, on a running play and then play action.

I'm not saying something stupid like Stenstrom would give us a better chance to win, he probably doesn't. From a player safety issue, though, it troubles me that Montez went back in the game.
 
Coach Mac made bonehead gametime decisions at times, but I didn't like what I saw with Tucker's game management tonight. He better back up his recruiting rhetoric, or he will only be here for a decade.
 
Throwing the ball a lot more than running it when you’re winning at home. What. The. ****. Jay Johnson?!? Mel Tucker... Step in and tell your OC to stop throwing. Also, this team is the opposite of disciplined. The refs were awful tonight but the offensive line is a walking penalty every play.
 
This one is on Mel. You have to go for it on 4th down inside the 40 with 6 1/2 minutes left. Man, I want to beat USC soooo badly so I never have to hear "Colorado has never beaten USC." EVER AGAIN!!

On the positive side, we actually had some blitzes that pressured the QB.

You thought MT was going to get the program turned around in one year? HE has to deal with 3 classes of soft **** players left over from Mac. It's hard to wash that clean in half a season. Wasting away Laviska's last year for sure though.

Explain that? We stuffed them on the first one and then they fumbled the ball twice and recovered both of them on their game winning drive.

The loss sucks and no it shouldn't have happened. That is on the coaches.

As bad as it is I did see some reason though for hope.

Bottom line though is that until we get better players on the line of scrimmage on both side we are going to lose. Recruiting is what determines winners and losers.
