2021 Pac 12 Tourney thread- #3 seed Men's bball (Championship game vs. #5 seed OSU, scheduled Saturday, 3/13, 8:40 PM MT, ESPN)

I know nothing about the guy from AZ that was named 6th man of the year but he must be phenomenal if he beat out Jeriah.
Rules is Rules! need to change the rules to cover for injuries, which is just "common sense".....Wait....Pac 12,,,, Never Mind!

I think he said “Horne running away from the ball”.

The Mobley comments were made later during the replay. I agree with you. Not sure what Walton expected him to do there.
He expected Mobley to move toward the hoop, not just stand there with his bare face hanging out!

How thrilled do you think ESPN, Wilner, and California media are to have to talk about a Colorado-Oregon State Pac 12 championship game?
Back story is phenomenal! One (CU) projected to finish 6th and the other projected dead last! Are you kidding me? Underdog Heaven!

Two things: Even if Kin hadn’t deflected that pass at the end (which was a brilliant play), Eaddy would have been catching it at a full sprint heading out of bounds and would have had to throw up a prayer. Great play design, Andy, you douchebag.

Also, someone mentioned it earlier but enough can’t be said about what Key did when Kin was out. He’s pretty goddam fearless. Always looking to create. Has good handles and vision for a freshman with limited opportunities. And maybe a better 3pt shooter than Kin. That was a tough spot to be put in and he responded big time. He was a real leader in that stretch.

I like this kid, I’m not worried about PG next year. Probably need a grad transfer but as a backup to Key.
Plus an off-season to get some meat on his bones! 6'2" and 165 is no way to go through D1 basketball life, son!

In his uniform, EB look like a tough Teddy Bear. W/o a shirt, he just looks tough. I didn't realize he was that lean and muscular. Whole squad looks very fit. They have a different S&C guy than football?
I noticed that as well. With his shirt on, he looks a bit chubby. He's not.

Dallas was getting beat by a lottery pick in an a near impossible one on one matchup. Jabari was failing as a team defender tonight. USC is literally the biggest team in the country. Jabari will get plenty more chances. His minutes per game over the course of the year were low because he still hasn’t figured out how to defend without fouling. 6.3 fouls per 40 minutes, most on the team among guys who are actually in the rotation.
This is completely correct.

Jabari is as physically talented as any player we have had come through Boulder in a long time and his individual skills, especially on the offensive end make us want to see more of him but against good players and good teams he hasn't yet learned to play defense as a part of the team. Tad''s defense requires his players to not only have their man but to be aware of the other players on the floor, Jabari isn't there yet.

And while he is multi-talented on the offensive end again he is still learning how to "fit" into the offensive system. Dallas is much less talented but the team works more consistently with him on the floor at both ends even though his personal numbers may not reflect that.

I'm checking in just to say Tad's the luckiest damn coach in America. Got a friendly whistle to beat Cal when their best player fouled out. Schooled by Andy Enfield in the 2d half last night but was saved by hot 3 point shooting. He's definitely got nothing left in the tank for Oregon State tonight. We need to fire his ass.

High level reverse jinx. Glad to see you peaking in March.
