“I never feel sorry for cornerbacks, especially the Colorado and Kansas ones.”

Maybe Joey's interceptions will be down this year with all the three yard outs on third and long.

I doubt the corners felt sorry for your punk ass team ganz.

just another silly fusker

Why all the hate, Joey?

You only threw three INT's against the Buffs. And only one of those was returned for a TD!! (Cha'Pelle Brown's INT was only returned to the Nebraska 2 yard line - Hugh Charles scored a TD on the next play.)

I don't read that as bulletin board material, but rather as self-deprecating humor. Ganz threw 4 ints against KU and 3 against us. That's why he doesnt feel sorry - because the Jayhawk and Buff CB's had great days playing against him.

Oh, and just to rinse my hands of the fusker-defending filth that I just typed ....

**** *EBRASKA!

Its a shame we don't get to feel sorry for their defense, then again its difficult to feel bad for something that doesn't exist.

Another typical Butthusker remark! I don't think the Buffs will remember the Ganz comment at gametime though. It could be interesting to see just how many int's he has by the time the Buffs play them next November?

hahaha, I guess those last few drives against our third team CB's must have given this kid a big head. He needs to concentrate on those talking crap to those D -1a teams for now.

Poor wittle Joey. It sounds like he has a complex. Those big mean CU and KU CB's. I remember a time when the niblets squared off against OU and could go toe to toe. Now they just get riled up by CU and KU...sad really how far they have fallen. Well, not really...

I'm with Beltway. The guy is saying that if you count his interceptions, his completion percentage was pretty good against us and Kansas. I think it was an inartful attempt to point out that our corners and Kansas' corners got the better of him last year.

there was a blog in the DMN that the fusker offense, is going to a zone read, has him running the ball more this year, maybe 15-20 times a game, taking adavantage of his running skills. That will keep his interceptions down

After that fails, he'll go back to throwing again, and after that fails, he'll-----

Hard to throw a pick when you're on the pine nursing a broken body. Not sure I'd trust my qb to a Watson run offense, but if that's what they wanna do, more power to 'em.

Mr Ganz, meet Mr Walters......Mr Ganz? Hello, Mr Ganz? How many fingers am I holding up? 12? Okay, close enough......

I also believe he was joking around because those particuliar defensive backs got the best of him last season. I expect him to be better this season, but he'll have some INT's early in the season until he settles his nerves down.

LOL.. This should be fun to watch..

Heck, I say bring back the wishbone..:smile2:

And that really turned my day around. I was feeling pretty good after that switch-a-roo coming out of the half.

shhhhhhhhhh

No QB is gonna feel sorry for CBs, and Ganz was simply saying CU and KU especially, because they took INTs from him.

can you explain your hope for this in light of a few articles recently printed? specifically that the entire area of focus has been on the defense?

while the playbook will be the same offensively, the huskers took a few key losses, and your offensive mastermind is gone. bo intends to leave the offensive calling to watson.

don't you know what that means?

I do! I do! Pick me!

Is the answer "bubble screen" followed by the two consecutive options to the short side of the field?

my favorite is a play action roll out to the short side of the field with all patterns being run 5 yards short of the first down line!

ahhhh, the days of calling the plays with watson. it was so predictable, i impressed the hell out of my inlaws by calling the play BEFORE the snap.

anyway, i noticed in the newsroom, there was a thread that got to the heart of my question. i have added to the convo there, too.
