Wyoming looking to host Nebraska at Invesco

:wtf:

I don't see it happening. That's a 2+ hour drive from Laramie. I think this writer is full of it and is writing this stuff in the hopes somebody from *ebraska or Wyoming will read it and say "hmmmm, what a good idea".

The title of this thread should be "Invesco looking to host anything to replace annual RMS"

I seriously doubt that Wyoming came up with this idea on their own.

all they had to do was give CU/CSU a sweeter cut of the revenue from the game....

The sad thing is NEBRASKA vs wyoming would have just as many people there as cu/csu.

All that is left to negotiate is the $$$$$$$$$$$$$ that NEBRASKA will recieve to play in Denver.

Agree, this makes no sense, the WYO flagship school playing a home game in Denver, huh? And who gives a **** about the 100,000 fuskers that fled fuskerland to live in Colorado? Not gonna happen.

This has been done before.

OSU has given up home games to play Nebraska in Kansas City.

I am pretty sure Missouri has given up home games to play in KC too.

It only makes DOLLARS and CENTS - That's why it's being discussed.

So lets say this happens. How would it work? In the years that Wyo is the home team it would be played in Denver but the other years in lincoln? Why would the cowboys want that? Why would two teams from other states want to play eachother in CO? Is this thread snark? So many questions.

#1 reason is Wyoming's stadium only holds around 32K and they can't produce enough revenue on gameday to have NEBRASKA come to them. This way they can get a fairly close "home game" and instead of playing 2 games at NEBRASKA they only have to play one. #2 reason F**CKING MONEY!!!!!!!! I know that cu always schedules tough but cu doesn't get the type of money that NEBRASKA, ou, texas, etc can demand for an away game.

This is utter bullsh!t. Wyoming's athletic department doesn't need the money. They're the only school in the state and receive tons of money off of the oil & gas royalties generated in Wyoming every year. This is nothing more than one columnist making up a story.

Won't happen. I'd believe a CSU/NU game at Invesco before a WYO/NU game.

Looks like Invesco Stadium will be sold out and looking very red.............mmmmmmmmmmm?

Now if we can just an Al-Qeada cell activated...
I'm not sure if you can even call it terrorism if you're blowing up a bunch of Fusker fans, (and getting rid of a nasty stadium that most people hate to boot) more like community service. Crap! Al-Qaeda will never go for it now!!

Results:
Plan foiled
New distinction made:
Fusker fans - so loathsome Al-Qaeda won't attack them.

The day it's official please post a video of your meltdown.

I think the same about usc & notre dame.

Doesn't look like Invesco will be put through a battle of the Big Red v. Big Brown....

Huskers won't Cowboy up
Denver Post staff and wire services

Don't look for Nebraska to play at Invesco Field at Mile High anytime soon. While there has been chatter going around that the Huskers were looking at having a series with Wyoming, Cowboys coach Joe Glenn said Tuesday it's a no-go. The Huskers, who this year have eight home games, don't want to play the Cowboys anywhere but Lincoln. Glenn said Wyoming suggested a meeting at Invesco Field, "but no luck." The last time they met, in 1994, the Cowboys gave the Huskers a scare before losing 42-32. Nebraska went on to win the national championship that year. Natalie Meisler, The Denver Post

Missouri actually has 2 off campus home games this season. Illinois in STL and KU in KC.

:lol:...spoken by a true IDOT...You think Wyoming would travel any more than CSU?...and then the Fuskers would travel 50000 people because a game against the Cowboys is just that appealing to them??? :rofl2:

I disagree - there probably would be as many people. I would be there all dressed up in Wyoming attire as would a lot of other Buff fans to fill in the Wyoming side. And we know we have a large population of redtards who live here.

But in the end it sounds like NU was afraid of playing outside of Stincoln if the DP can be believed.
