I'm waiting for Hawk to come through on the road. It hasn't happened yet. FSU's defense is as good as any we will face all year. I'm in a "I'll believe it when I see it" mode. It is time for CU to win a big game.

I don't have a very good feeling. I know we won't be embarrassed. Especially with Christian Ponder at QB. But their D is for real. And we all know our offense hasn't been lighting up the scoreboard yet this season.

FSU's offense doesn't worry me, but I could see FSU's defense scoring a couple touchdowns tomorrow.

Hawkins has had two INT's returned for TD's in the past two games.

cautiously optimistic. As stated, their D is freakishly fast, we can slow their offense to just a few scores but if we can't score at all we are doomed.

Our D will be able to handle the anemic FSU offense, their D will be tough, would not be surprised if the difference came down to a big return.

Come on....how about a bit of confidence? We have been beaten down by years of crap, but the tide has turned.

Hawkins is the real deal. We will win this game, I am confident.

Our special teams has been doing very well. DiLallo has been booming his punts. And Jfly is one of the top return men in the nation. But FG's have been iffy.

Texas Tech??

I'm not very confident. I think Stewart and Scott will get their yards and we will have pretty good success running the ball. Where we will get ourselves in trouble is when Helfrich gets cute with the playcalling and we start putting ourselves in 2nd and 3rd and long situations.

Besides that, this game comes down to Cody and Goodman. Our most successful drives last year against FSU came when Cody was making plays on third down. And Goodman absolutely has to have a perfect/near perfect game.

That being said, I'm just not confident that Cody will play mistake free football. FSU will put pressure on him all game and all we can hope for is that he remains more composed then he did against WVU.

Somebody is gonna be in for a surprise

We have too many playmakers! We are just young that's why everybody on O looked unready. FSU is always gonna have playmakers just wait for it.

Hopefully we can keep their defense on the field for the whole game. Wear'em down a bit. But that requires putting some drives together. Cody is the key.

You have talent yes. But when your QB can't get the ball to the playmakers, that's a problem.

I have full confidence in Hawkins. I just think our youth will be an issue.
Cool...so, let's look to the future. I think that we win 2 of the next 3. Great for recruiting, great for the program.

I just wish I lived in Denver/Boulder so that I could see the transformation in person.

I keep remembering that georgia game, and also keep thinking, "if only we had a QB back then..."

We have a QB now. Hawk has proven he can get this team to play well on the road, if not for the entire game. Against a team with such glaring weaknesses as FSU, I would be shocked if CU didn't put forth a damn fine effort. If CU starts fast, as is becoming a tradition in road games (see, TT last year, Georgia 2006, ASU last year, *gulp* ISU last year), I think we finally have the horses to finish the game, especially with a run defense that SHOULD force the noles to pass, and we all know what happens when they pass.

You'd better hope some HUGE strides have been made since last week. That was one of the most pitiful offensive (no pun intended) preformances I've ever seen.

What am I feeling ? What am I feeling ?

I am feeling like I had better not have flown across the country and sat through a presidential debate with my dad (we actually had to agree to stop talking to each other at one point) to watch the Buffs lose. ****, they better find a way dammit.

One a side note, I had the best soft shell crab sandwich in Cocoa Beach today :smile2:

Cody is a good QB. But he's still young. I don't want to say he's in the 'Sophmore Slump' just yet, but he needs to show more consistency.

lol they were on the field all of last game and still looked beast-like. We're so deep at everywhere but safety. I will admit our corners suck except for Tony Carter and Patrick Robinson (who just came back). Terrance Parks is a true freshman hopefully he shows up and makes big plays. The D-Line got alot stronger which is where the pressure will come.

Now that suspensions are up.
DE - Brown, White, Moffett, McNeil, Dawkins is the rotation
DT - Thacker, Griffin, Mincey, McCray, Stewart is the rotation

Linebacker is our strongest point

We will rotate Watson, Verdell, Ingram, Smith, Bradham, Nicholson, Williams, Wright, Carr, Harris...gotta keep em fresh.

The plan is to wear down your o-line  with alot of blitzing lb's and speed from the d-line.

____________

Our D will win us alot of games this year we probably have the deepest in the country. Time for the O to show us something though.

Was this in the game plan for the Wake game?

I'd rather have D'Vontrey Richardson in there instead he runs like Vick and throws well. He just doesn't have much experience. I think Ponder is the second coming of Chris Rix...yikes :sad1:

I think everyone agrees FSU's defense is the strength of the team. I don't know that you want to be relying on them to score points for you, though.

If your defense is so unstoppable, how'd you let them get into FG range?

Well all 5 INT's WF received were on our side of the field. We had 7 TO's and held them to 12 points...i'm just sayin
