Official Colorado vs. Oregon game thread

To be honest, this game is going about how I expected. I didn't think Oregon would be so ruthless but it is what it is. We will get smoked again next week and the question will be how we respond for the rest of the season.

I think it's more than just that. Guys literally stop running to the ball when one guy starts to make a tackle. Thus, if the tackle is broken, big plays happen. Good defenses fly to the ball and finish in bunches, not one player while the others watch. Maybe that is still coaching, maybe the team is flat, but not hustling to the ball isn't scheme.
Agree with you-but that's been going on all month. It isn't like Oregon has exposed us. We've gotten away with it because TCU had no tape on our offense, Nebraska's one dimensional, and CSU was so undisciplined it wasn't even funny.
Two great posts.

That said, I expected better from Tank. He's the one they are targeting the most and pushing pressure from the outside. 2 is not even getting a chance to scramble and throw.

Oh man.

The OL and DL are getting pushed all over the Place. We knew there were challenges. But this is way out of their league

Of course they would. We’d be losing 34-0 instead. Facepalm

Tank getting his ass handed to him.
I watched 2s sacks and honestly, if he threw the ball out of bounds, it would be grounding. Booger feels 2 needs to move up into the pocket but while Wells is doing a good job not allowing clear rushers, he's getting pushed back on every possession.

Do you not think that making ZERO effort to fire off the line and run the ball is detrimental to the Offensive Linemen?
The OL was never good at Pass Pro, and when you do not even try and run the ball to start the game, is there not a chance that we are already on our heels? First play should have possibly been the Rick Ross formation to try and at least get 4-5 yards, then line up again and get 4-5 more, and then the linemen are a bit more involved

The quick timing and swing passes are kind of successful. 4+ yards per play. Not sure why we don’t keep doing that until they at least get off our side receivers.
