Ladies and gentlemen, the Prime effect

CU is already irrelevant
LOL. CU will always be one of the most relevant teams in the country as long as CP is here. You guys, on the other side, better hope you can beat all 3 of them, because as long as you lose one, your team will become irrelevant in the CFB world. The truth hurts.

I have mad respect for your coach so I hope you can beat Oregon and USC at least.

Why? CU is already irrelevant... again. And you won't beat USC at home. I've been wrong about this team before... Go get it done. Then you can stand there like you are standing on some kind of solid ground... 42-6 right after barely escaping the previous week at home as almost 4 touchdown favorites. CSU took you to the wire... I read from posters here stating CSU are middling Mountain West... but are they? Really, they kind of suck. They sure gave CU Hell though didn't they... in all their suckiness.
Long game buddy, this season is already a huge success
Utah played it with a great coach from MWC to the PAC, congrats
You will not be the big dog in the BIG12, get ready to suck tailpipe

Well, certainly give Prime the credit he's due... Nobody expected you to beat a completely rebuilding TCU right off the bat. Nebraska may very well be the worst team in the B1G. But, you guys have an old school rivalry with them, so congratulations on that front too. (candidly, the life-time records has them winning big, so they barely consider you "rivals", but you guys sure do... so great win!) Then came lowly and bad CSU and they dominated you almost the entire game, at home as 23.5-point underdogs, from a lesser conference, and then you (rushed the field :ROFLMAO:). You squeaked out a last-minute score with one of the best QB's playing in College Football while they lined up in a ridiculous prevent defense with a bad football team missing their best back, and zero pressure (Sanders can throw that drill all day long and complete 90+ percent). Well... and then Oregon happened... first real test... and who didn't see that coming? Except you guys, because I read the threads... USC isn't going to go easy on you... and then you're 3-2 with no depth, injured starters, and you can't protect Shadeur, who is a stud because he looks like a tackling dummy every game. That won't go well because it's a long season. The future PAC 12 schedule all have the film. Thanks for Appreciating Whittingham. We've had him as Head Coach since 2004. How many have you had since then? Do you think Prime stays put here if the wins stack up? He will generate all new hype... somewhere else. So at least you have that to look forward to. Washington State would obliterate CU right now. Prime effect. The biggest difference he's made is his kid. He deserves credit, he's running for his life back there, but dude can play ball.

You still don't understand, most of us are happy with 4-5 wins this year. 6 wins would be a damn miracle for us. So We are literally 1 win away from feeling good about this year, we will be getting studs from portal, and we will be getting all the attention of the college football regardless of our results.

I'm sorry that after so many years of good results, Utah still don't get 1/10 of the attention as we got in 1 months. Must be driving you crazy to come here to talk trash lol

Yep, you got attention. You're still not a great football team. Watch the media scramble for another angle. What happens if the bottom falls out? Focus of talk around here is media coverage. Not good football. Was Dan Lanning right... is it all about clicks? Because only wins are going to count, in spite of the clown side show.

Devil Dog is really confused by what is happening in Boulder right now.

I can tell, because he thinks relevance is about one or two football games.

It must be frustrating to root for a really good football team that nobody notices or cares about. I suspect that's the reason he acts the way he does.

Big 10 fans love to watch boring football. Pac 12 "fans" never turn on the game or go to the game.
You're missing the broader point. It doesn't really matter what Utah does. Nobody seems to care.

I actually feel sorry for them. They have the best football team that nobody has ever heard of.

Even when they beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl a while back. It seemed as though that story should have been bigger outside of Provo or wherever Utah is (full disclosure, I'm pretty sure they're not in Provo, but I genuinely don't know what town they're in). Nobody cared.

I actually tend to root for Utah, and I love that Utah beats USC nearly every year. We can't beat USC and somehow we're America's darling. It's got to be frustrating to be a Utah fan.

He still hasn't thanked us for getting Utah into the B12. Ungrateful simp.

We have AVERAGED 10 million viewers a game through the first four games of the season. I'm fudging the numbers a bit but that's ****ing insane

A number of commentators are suggesting a racial component to anti-CU, anti-CP rhetoric. This could be helpful, if Black recruits react to it.

The Athletic's Ari Wasserman wrote what I believe to be the most on-target assessment of CU with Coach Prime to date.

Will the Oregon beatdown derail the Coach Prime recruiting train? — Garrett S.

There was so much hype and excitement around Colorado’s 3-0 start that we all forgot what the Buffaloes were supposed to be this year. They were never supposed to be a team that could win a Power 5 conference. They were supposed to be improved from last year’s 1-11 record. They were supposed to be a team that was worth watching.

Deion Sanders already accomplished that through the first three weeks of the season. The Buffaloes came into the weekend already playing with house money.

Colorado overachieved. With that roster, it probably shouldn’t have been 3-0. It was never realistic for this team to beat Oregon in Autzen Stadium. Sanders has been a miracle worker with his roster flip, no question, but I’m not sure it would have been physically possible for Colorado to match up with the Ducks with the roster it has. Guess what? Colorado might be in store for a similar type of beatdown this weekend when it hosts USC.

Why? Because being good enough to compete for a College Football Playoff spot isn’t microwavable (though TCU did pull off a minor miracle in 2022). Colorado is going up against programs now that also have really good quarterbacks and exciting skill players. They are going up against teams that frankly are bigger, better, deeper and faster than they are at the line of scrimmage. This sport is complex, but sometimes it isn’t rocket science.

If Colorado gets its butt kicked against the Trojans, I think that’s going to let some air out of the hype balloon. Part of the intrigue with Colorado was to see how far Sanders could go with this team, to see how long it could stay undefeated. There was intrigue, of course, heading into the weekend because the college football world was excited to see whether Colorado could pull off another stunner, bigger than the Week 1 win at TCU.

But reality set in five minutes into the game. Colorado on Saturday was the Colorado we expected to see this season.

It’s a solid team that’s well coached that could maybe win six or seven games but frankly doesn’t have the talent to compete against really good teams.

That, however, doesn’t mean Colorado is a failure or Sanders won’t be able to recruit top-level talent anymore. Elite players have been visiting Boulder throughout the fall.

This year’s team might not have much depth, but it does have star power, and Sanders clearly knows how to showcase his best players. He coaches them up and gives them a platform for future success.

What does Sanders need now? More stars. He has the proof of concept and a sales pitch. I actually believe Colorado, through the portal and traditional high school recruiting, has a chance to be really good in the future. Good enough, even, to compete with Oregon.

Hmm let's see here....
  • Big Noon Kickoff for 4 of 5 games, other in primetime on ABC
  • Most viewed game every week
  • College gameday week 2
  • Most desired team for the Big 12
  • Social media overran with Prime/CU content
But yeah, CU sure sounds irrelevant.

****ing Devildog made me give a like to Corey. That's how ****ed up this whole thing is.

Why do you think WI is probably the drunkest state? Watching boring football on Saturday is a welcome mat for beer drinkers and heck raisers…

No one cares about Utah. No matter how many games you win, no matter how many players you put in the NFL, no one is ever going to talk about Utah. All you're doing is showing your profound jealousy.

We haven't even seen Utah this year. 16 starters out with injury from both sides of the ball. QB3, until two weeks ago was freshman QB4. Some of our best defensive talent hasn't been even in there... and Chip Kelly's Bruins could barely score. If we get these guys back, and we should in about two/three weeks when we have USC at their house, Oregon the week after that at our place, then two weeks later we have Washington at their house. Who cares about clicks? We have some players that if healthy should have us in each of these games... and talent behind them. Our stadium has sold out every game for over a decade. Nobody is wearing CU gear here.
