Live close enough to campus to walk = problem solved.

At the same time, we had 5 guys living in a 2 bedroom* house with a loft, paying $1600 in the early to mid 90s.

I could only imagine what that place is now. Inflation alone would double it, then you have our insane housing market.

* There was actually a 3rd bedroom, but the Boulder housing nazis classified it as a dining room and for a few weeks I had to live with a blanket covering my door in case the inspector showed up.

The problem with a system of flat rate fines is that people of means don't view them as deterrents... It's just "what it costs to park where I want"
Adjusted for today's dollars, I used to just accept a $17 parking ticket once a week because it was so convenient to manage my day around campus that way.

When they upped it to $42, I found another less convenient place to park.

Money.
My 1st 'Boulder' house, was south of town, below Shanahan's Ridge. (you would turn west at the little "donut" lake, the street before the Eldorado turnoff). One of the windiest places in the world. 1969, 1 acre, small 3 bedroom ranch, $125 or $127 per month mortgage.

the parking storm troopers used to leave the players' cars alone for the most part. this was quite a long time ago but i was a repeat parking offender and i asked one of the meter maids why he was ticketing me and not the star athlete next to me and he just rolled his eyes. it was 4 bucks a ticket back in the day. but it saved a walk from the other side of campus where i was "permitted" to park.

FREE CU FOOTBALL from this parking tyranny.

4 bucks?! Was @DBT your pledge?

Sure, they can get parking passes.

The guys can also take some personal responsibility and park like everyone else or use transport in the meantime. They’re adults, they can figure out how to park. Same goes for Bucky/prime/co. It’s not that hard. If you can’t figure out parking rules and workarounds, life will be tough after you leave

I worked at the AD for 4 years during school a couple years ago and somehow got 0 parking tickets
You worked for the AD when we were god awful. They need to take care of these people.

The crowd will be interesting. I have a friend who graduated from UCLA and lives in the area. She is a massive CP fan and jumped at the chance when I offered to buy tickets for her in the Buff (horrible seats) section. I suspect there will be a bunch of CP fans in attendance on Saturday. Oh, and I couldn't believe the cost of the tickets...$60/ticket. Seems UCLA has never needed dynamic pricing....

Hope I’m wrong, but feels like the Oregon game to me.

UCLA struggled with OSU’s BALANCED attack. Kept the defense honest. If we continue to ignore the run, Shedeur may get his head taken off by Latu.

Also, I legit thought Trevor could be a good ILB when we recruited him in HS. Seems Prime and co agree. The difference is…. I imagined him putting on weight to justify that reality. Unfortunately he’s a safety playing out of position against a solid running team. This could hurt

I gained like 15 lbs during the Christmas week last year. Maybe I can give him some tips

Why does FPI suck? I think they boast 70 plus prediction rate.

Edit: 90 percent predicting favs in P5 games over last five years.
Vegas favorites win about 80% of the time in CFB. So, basically, 70% would make it a predictive tool that's not as good as the tool we already had. And, some of those you're talking to are serious gamblers who are looking for and only respecting models that beat Vegas.

FPI does not predict game outcomes at 70%. You honestly think a publicly traded Fortune 100 company would give away the greatest sports betting model invented for free?

I assumed he meant straight up, not against the spread. Hence my post above.

Favorites, not ATS.

Their data says 77 percent FBS vs FBS. Another study says 90 percent of P5 games. Nik says Vegas MLs are correct 80 percent of time.

My question is what you do t like about FPI? Are there public ally available models you respect.

Thanks.
