KU Thread?

For you guys who think Cody should be done for the season take a look at what Ballenger just did. He's very green and will struggle to move the O for a while until he gets used to the speed of the game.

Cody is still the best we have for this season. He should still be under center most of the time but Ballenger needs to continue to get significant playing time.

As green as he is, in those three plays he looked infinitely more poised in the pocket than Cody does.

16 yard loss & fumble, then a toss up long pass that should have been picked.

I just don't see how ballenger is better. More potential for sure but clearly not better than even our struggling lilHawk.

Why on 3rd and 20 do you call a play with one receiver deep and max protection. You're losing the game, get 10 yards and then get 10 more. And then, you're down 16 with 4 minutes left and you punt on 4th down? WTF

I am beginning to lose confidence in our Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach...

Little Hawk was better last year, I just think like i said earlier he is mired in a sophmore slump. Something needs to snap him out of it.

Anybody who thinks that qb is the source of our problems needs to lay off the Thunderbird a touch.

I don't think anyone here is saying that... We can't pick up any Oline guys off of the waiver wire but we can change our QB and get someone with the tools the experience to win some games for us.

Cody is very skittish in the pocket. Ballenger is obviously green, but he stands in the pocket and keeps his eyes downfield. He's got the presence to step up in the pocket to buy time. Hes got a better arm than Cody and isn't any worse on his feet.

I don't understand how people keep pimping Cody when we have a QB on the bench who AT LEAST has the tools and just needs experience. Experience doesn't mean **** when your QB can't physically make the plays he needs to make.

I hear you, I just think we need wins and IMHO I think Cody still gives us the best shot at that. I absolutely want Ballenger to continue to get snaps in games but I think we lose more with him as the starter.

Hrmmm... Ballenger feels the pressure, steps up, and avoids the pressure, mind you, in the pocket and completes an 18 yard pass down the field to McKnight... something we haven't seen out of a QB all season!

That's fair... I see them as the same thing right now. Because of their plusses and minuses, we've got an equal chance to win right now with Cody and Ballenger. The difference is the Cody is NOT improving, and we don't know what we have in Ballenger. Ballenger has upside, Cody is a known quantity. Just one man's opinion though.

All done against the 2nd and 3rd string KU defense.

I don't think it's a good idea to base a QB decision based on performance in scrub time.

When Ballenger was in early in the 4th he was not any more effective than Cody.

I'm on that fence. Just not ready to jump to the Ballenger side....yet.

We would be 5-1 with a QB. MAYBE 6-0 the way our defense stood up against Texas. (Though that's a VERY THIN MAYBE)

You know why it was 18 yards? Because he hit him in stride. i am sick of watching WRs have to come back to the ball with Cody or stop, catch the ball, then start running again.

Count me off the Cody bandwagon. The backup without the experience is as good, and has more upside. Need to play him. Should have played him the last series in the first half, at least.

Really, and what do you base that off of? They had Reesing playing, and had Meir (Wr, and backup QB) playing. Had starting O playing. But yet you just throw out that the backups on D were in. I call bull****. You nothing ot the ****ing sort.

Face it. He is as good as Cody is now, with way more upside.
