Hansen this weekend?

If we burn a RS, Hansen must be what Reesing was to KU. I'd be pissed if they used him for only 1-2 series.

Hawk said not a chance in burning Hansen's redshirt after Wednesday's practice. I have no problem with it if he is our best QB.

I wouldn't want to see Hawk burn Hansen's redshirt at this point of the season. If it was only the 2nd or 3rd game, then sure, but not after we're already halfway thru the season.

This may not be as all-out crazy as we're making it out to be. Think about this for a second. Burn Hanson's redshirt, then redshirt Evans next year, providing a two year gap for Evans to play instead of one.

Personally dont think its crazy at all - like you said. CU has 2 verbals at qb for 09, Wynn and Evans.

If Hansen is all that he could provide the spark on offense that is sorely needed. Many thought , and observed, Hansen to be the real deal in camp.

If Cody plays well tomorrow then Hansen wont play. However, if Cody doesnt play well then who knows.....

I doubt seriously anybody gets real PT other than Cody....

If that were going to happen we'd have seen last week IMO.

This season, and probably the next two, are going to be Cody's show.

Sorry to be pessimistic, but that is how I see it now. I'd love to be wrong.

Actually, I think a quarterback change is more likely to occur in a home game, rather than an away game. It is also more likely to occur against a team with a poor defense.

That being said - I still think it is incredibly unlikely that anybody other than Cody Hawkins (and maybe Matt Ballenger) plays against KSU.

You're both probably right. However, after looking at the situation, and what we have in the pipeline, it occurred to me that if we really think Hanson and Wynn/Evans are better, than why not put an extra year of eligibility between the two?

Yup, it is perhaps unlikely. But if Hansen is the best quarterback in practice with 6 games to play, then you play him. The idea is to win football games.

There are some rumblings. :smile2:

You had a breakfast burrito as well, didn't you?

Any way, I saw what you are talking about (I assume rivals), and I am not real sure I put a lot of confidence in some drive by poster like that. He has like four total posts and never showed up in the tread again. That being said...I hope it happens. I think Hansen has a real shot at being pretty good.

Yeah, I think DH will stick with COdy, much to our dismay. We'll all be calling for Ballenger, but DH wont put him until late in the game when we are down by more than 2 TDs.

Pessimism rearing it ugly head, but I havent seen much out of DH this season to make me think otherwise.

We do have to think about recruiting some top WR's...one may be visiting this weekend. If Cody can't get it done, then bring in someone with an arm to show the kid that there will be plenty of good stuff to expect when they step onto the field next year.

From that perspective, I could see why Hansen could be an option.

I just want a win to get this thing moving in the right direction again. Right now, I feel like I am in a time warp back to 2006.

For me, I see similarites with '04-'05. JK, who I think was a great buff, was having a great deal of trouble getting the ball downfield. IMO he was never the same after his '03 shoulder injury. But he was the QB for quite a while under those circumstances and the Buffs were dink and dunk with no power running then either for many of the same reasons as now......

That is a good analysis. I guess watching the offense last week made me think back to games when you really have to hope we can keep the other team from scoring since we aren't showing that capacity right now.

Also reminiscent of the "I am with the Buffs through thick and thin" type of feeling I had all that season.

Because I'm a retard when it comes to computers. Tell me how to do it and I'll try to set one up...

I never said I knew how to do it! I dont know!

Goto UserCP, then scroll down to the messaging and notification and check the box to enable PM. At least thats how I see it...
